When many of you think of progressive jackpots, I bet you think of the Mega Moolah, WowPot, or Age of the Gods titles paying out multiples of millions. Well, while that is true, there are many other progressive jackpot slots renowned for paying out smaller jackpots. A good example is a €1.3 million win recorded on NetEnt’s Arabian Nights jackpot slot this week.
That is still a life-changing sum of money, as I am sure you will agree. However, it is small when compared to the 8-figure sums that really make the headlines. While we love reporting on the big wins just like anybody else, we also like to keep up to date with some of these smaller but still lucrative jackpot slots.
There is not much information available regarding this latest win. We just know that the jackpot on that progressive slot has dropped from the €1,447,607 we left it at in our last report, to just €70,273 today. As a guess, that means somebody somewhere has received around €1.3 million as a jackpot payout.
As for the rest of the jackpots we are tracking for this report, none has paid out. There was a $1,108,496 win recorded on the Megasaur progressive slot, but that is not one we currently track.
Fun Fact: The first ever progressive jackpot slot was launched in 1986. Obviously, that was a land-based machine as online casinos and the internet was were not invented at that time. Developed by IGT, that slot was called Megabucks and it is still around today.
How are the Other Progressive Jackpots Looking?
If you follow this weekly jackpot report, you will know that there have been a few big wins recently. None was bigger than the €10.9 million win at the end of July of course. For that reason, many of the jackpots on our accompanying table are looking a lot smaller than you might be used to. That said, give it a few weeks and they will be right back up there.
As you will see in that table, the Jackpot Giant progressive jackpot is still the largest and is now approaching the €7 million mark. The Mega Moolah and WowPot (both of which have paid out in recent times) are now slowly building, while others like the King Cashalot and Hall of Gods are also starting to look tasty.
