One of the world’s most prominent gambling technology companies, Playtech, has announced that they have signed an agreement to mutually distribute games and platform tech with another industry leader, Scientific Games (SGC).

The combined efforts from two of iGaming’s big players will allow each company to benefit from one another’s existing connections from around the whole industry. This kind of partnership will add great reach and scale for each other. Each company will benefit from additional connections in Eastern, Western and Central Europe, as well as Latin America and the United States.

The Open Gaming System will allow Playtech’s software to be accessible to all operators. The agreement involves the covering of Playtech’s entire Casino offering, which includes an industry-leading portfolio of video slot entertainment, Live Casino titles and table games, which will now integrate, together with the features and promotion sets that Scientific Games provide. The initial rollout of Playtech’s gaming content will be starting in the US State of New Jersey, and from there, more states are expected to follow.

The OpenGaming™ proposition from Scientific Games seems to be gaining in strength and momentum, and even more so with the news of this most recent partnership. The company now boasts over 2500 games available in the collection, which includes both in-house developments and those from a third-party studio – making it one of the biggest aggregation platforms for iGaming in the entire world.

What adds to the attraction of this portfolio, is the inclusion of features such as; jackpots, missions, tournaments, free-rounds, and all of them are inclusive of tools that promote responsible gambling, which is easily accessible.

SG Gaming and Playtech Both Express Delight Over The Prosperous Move

Jordan Levin of Scientific Games recently expressed his delight after the finalization of the deal. The Group CEO is planning that the two companies can bring quality and excitement to the United States gaming market and beyond. Levin was complimentary of OpenGaming and how it enables gaming providers the opportunity to extend their reach and to impact multiple regulated markets. The Scientific Games Group CEO recognised Playtech’s reputation in the industry, stating that their games are world-renowned and he is excited to provide an exceptional iGaming experience to their current player base.

Playtech’s COO, Shimon Akad, was equally as excited as Levin. He mentioned that each company are individually very strong, and that’s why they are both considered market leaders. He has also predicted that the partnership looks likely to have a massive impact on the entire iGaming industry. Playtech has always had a strategy to maximise the supply of the company’s software – by forming strong affiliations with the very best B2B suppliers – that will be beneficial for both parties involved. What is more is that existing customers will see an increase in the current content depth and services.

Akad is of the belief that Scientific Games will benefit significantly because of the increase in distribution available to certain regulated markets like Latin America and Europe, but Playtech will no doubt be themselves better off by having a heavier portfolio, consisting of some of the most exciting games in iGaming. Akad concluded by reiterating how pleased he is, saying that Playtech will now be looking forward to rolling out Playtech software in casinos across all the regulated states.

For SG Gaming, this is yet another partnership with a big brand in both the iGaming slots industry and sports betting industry. Its partnership with Evolution, a fierce rival in the live casino space for Playtech, will see SG release Evolution’s award-winning Lightning Roulette setup in land-based casinos across the globe – Playtech’s version of this is Quantum Roulette – could SG Gaming do something similar for Playtech?
