The Canadian Gaming Summit is one of the largest gaming events in the world, and Canada is now getting geared up for the 26th edition – that’s impressive!

It is the perfect opportunity for operators, suppliers and tech companies operating in Canada to take part in exclusive seminars and network with industry professionals. However, for those of you that are fans of sports betting and iGaming awards, and you saw the name ‘SBC’ involved, I am afraid ti disappoint you, this event is strictly for business, exhibitions, and conferences.

This year’s event will take place under the management of the globally recognised iGaming and sports betting awards and events specialist SBC. It will showcase products and services from more than 75 companies via exhibits. On top of this, the conference is expected to draw more than 2,000 delegates and 600+ operators.

Many of the brands attending include operators listed on the Canadian casinos portal. A large number of them are still debating whether to enter the Ontario iGaming market, while they are also happy with their current MGA licencing targeting the rest of Canada. However, should more provinces follow Ontario’s example, thus cutting down these operators’ market exposure to the Canadian population, they may look to the future and decide to create a plan to apply for provincial licences.

Canadian Gaming Summit is the premier annual conference for gaming professionals in Canada, and it is organised by the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA), an industry association that represents the top iGaming and sports betting suppliers as well as operators in Canada. In addition to the expo floor, the Summit will host a range of networking parties and evening parties at a variety of luxurious venues.

SBC will work with the CGA to ensure that the Summit supports the growth of the gaming industry in Canada. Together, they aim to make the Summit one of the highlights iGaming get-togethers in 2023.

The conference will cover subjects such as the evolving role of state lotteries, the impact of regulatory changes on the industry, payment regulations, and the new innovative tech changing the face of how land-based gambling venues operate gaming machines and networks.

When and where is the event? SBC Events has announced details of the Canadian Gaming Summit, which will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from June 13-15.

Conference Led by Industry Expert Speakers

Speakers will be part of the robust education program that will feature on the industry networking and a trade show floor. To do this, some of the most prominent players in the iGaming and betting sectors will call upon their industry knowledge to talk about current trends and most likely past mistakes.

Other stakeholders in the industry will participate in the conference, including regulatory agencies and payment companies. A renowned panel of speakers will provide an in-depth analysis of the market. They will share insights into the role of state lotteries and the evolving role of tribal casinos. There is panned coverage of cryptos and NFTs. In addition, the conference will discuss the implementation of new technology in brick-and-mortar casinos.

The biggest take home for me is the coverage of cryptos and NFTs. The agenda for this topic aims to predict regulatory change that could harness the power of crypto in iGaming. There will be a 45 minute discussion on the topic, and it may well include the current regulatory changes being put into action in Malta. By the end of February 2023, we fully expect the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) to have completed its new crypto framework finally allowing casinos under its licensing to offer customer cryptocurrency gaming. Find out more from a recent news report covering iGaming Regulatory Gossip, which covers the MGA delaying its Crypto framework until February.

The educational part of the event will feature two days of conferences with over 150 world-class speakers.

SBC & Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) Collaboration

SBC and the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) have agreed to terms for the acquisition of the rights to the Canadian Gaming Summit. This will allow SBC to add a new floor to its flagship event. The extra floor will house conference rooms, a lounge, and an exhibition area, which will serve as a hub of networking opportunities for industry stakeholders.

Something to look out for: There will be a Super Early Bird rate that includes access to the event, an exhibition, and networking parties.
