2022 EGR North America Awards: Winners Include Light & Wonder, Greentube & Paysafe & Rush Street Interactive!

The results are in at the 2022 EGR North America Awards and we can now tell you the brands that have performed the best in the region according to those casting their votes.

The winners were declared best in class for their performance in the online gambling industry in North America between March 2021 and February 2022.

Hosted at the Midtown Loft & Terrace in New York on April 26, the 2022 EGR North America handed out its awards across 26 categories. The awards were broken down into 4 specific groups: the Operator, Supplier, Affiliate, and General brands that operate across the online casino, online sportsbetting, and online lottery industries.

You only have to look at some of the brands nominated for these awards to see that competition was tough. Big industry names including Entain, IGT, High 5 Games, DraftKings, BetMGM, White Hat Gaming, Evolution, Ezugi, and Kambi all picked up nominations for the biggest awards.

Wazdan, who recently won 5 nominations for the Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards also picked up nominations in the Casino Content Supplier and Best New Game categories.

The 2022 EGR North America Awards was the fifth edition of the award ceremony that debuted in 2018. In the 2021 Awards, big name winners included Scientific Games who picked up three awards, Evolution as the Content Supplier of the Year, and Ezugi who won Best New Game for its 3-Card Poker live casino title.

Greentube Wins Best New Game Award & Light & Wonder Claims Casino Content Supplier Award

As we focus on the online casino side of things here at Casinoplusbonus, we were interested in awards such ‘Best New Game’, ‘Casino Content Supplier’, and ‘Casino Operator’. Well, we can tell you that Greentube, Light & Wonder, and BetMGM are the firms that have walked away with those prestigious awards.

Greentube was up against some high profile competition in the ‘Best New Game’ category with leading brands such as NetEnt, Red Tiger, Wazdan, Ezugi, and High 5 Games, all receiving nominations for their quality online casino games. However, Diamond Cash Mighty Elephant of Greentube impressed the judges the most.

As for Casino Content Supplier, this went to Light & Wonder, the developer formerly known as Scientific Games. This brand has made a concerted push into the major US iGaming markets in recent years and has since garnered plenty of acclaim for the quality of service it delivers. Just last year, Scientific Games won the Lottery Supplier, Sports Betting Supplier, and Sportsbook Platform Supplier awards. As Light & Wonder, the firm has now completed the quartet by landing the coveted Casino Content Supplier of the Year Award.

The biggest winner of the night in terms of the number of awards won was Rush Street Interactive. The leading US-based operator was nominated for three awards and won them all. Those awards were the Operator of the Year Award, Customer Services Operator, and Social Gaming Operator. Rush Street Interactive currently operates the SugarHouse online casinos in New Jersey (Golden Nugget Atlantic City) and Pennsylvania (Rivers Philadelphia) and it is the quality, products, and services offered by those platforms that led to the operator taking down the three EGR North America Awards.
