The iGaming development firm, Wazdan, has long been recognized as a leading iGaming brand, and that is now evidenced thanks to five award nominations for the upcoming Baltic and Scandinavian Awards. An impressive haul of nominations, the firm will now have to wait until May 12 to discover if they have beaten out the competition to grab some of those awards.
Licensed by the UKGC and the MGA, and also operational in numerous other jurisdictions including Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Romania, Greece, Denmark, and three US states, Wazdan has become a leading global provider of iGaming solutions over the years. Since launching in 2010, the firm has developed over 150 casino games made up of video slots, table games, and video poker.
However, it is its recent performance in the Baltic and Nordic regions that have earned the iGaming developer further recognition. These nominations follow recent nominations for award categories at the 2021 EGR Awards and the 2021 SBC Awards.
The 5 Categories Wazdan has been shortlisted for at the BSG Awards are:
- Best Slots Provider in the Baltics
- Best Slots Provider in the Nordics
- Best Online Casino Provider in the Baltics
- Rising Star in Baltic Online Casino Technology
- Rising Star in Nordic Online Casino Technology
In each of the categories Wazdan has earned nominations for, the company has some seriously stiff competition. In the Best Slot Provider categories alone, Wazdan is up against the likes of Tom Horn Gaming, Relax Gaming, Play’n Go, Amusnet Gaming, Endorphina, BF Games, NoLimit City, and a recent winner at the 2022 IGA Awards, Yggdrasil. Nobody could argue with any of those leading brands coming home with the award.
Other Categories, Brands, and Information
The BSG Awards is an award ceremony held as part of the MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit. This year marks the third instalment of this summit and will take place on April 12 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The summit has grown to become the leading gambling industry conference across the Baltic and Nordic regions. The biggest names in the iGaming industry regularly attend to enjoy networking, the BSG awards, conferences, and more.
As for the BSG Awards themselves, there are 36 award categories in total, that cover several segments of the iGaming industry that include sports betting, online casino gaming, eSports, payment providers, testing laboratories, and hosting providers.
Nominations for other notable awards include Playtech, Evolution, Ezugi, Betconstruct, XproGaming, BetGames, and OneTouch in the Best Live Casino categories, and BMM, eCOGRA, GLI, iTech Labs in the running for the testing laboratory awards. MuchBetter, Trustly, and ConnectPay are among the nominations for best Payment Service Provider, while the big-hitting LeoVegas, Casumo, Betway, Betfair, and UniBet are among those slugging it out for the Best Online Casino Awards. There were also nominations for leading sports betting and eSports platforms, but this is not really an area we cover. If you follow either, you can find information for those categories on the BSG website.
Awards Still to Come in 2022: While we have already seen the results come in at the 2022 EGR Nordics, 2022 IGA Awards, and the 2022 Global Gaming Awards, there’s still plenty more to come. On top of the BSG Awards, we can look forward to the 2022 SBC Awards later this year, the American IGA Awards, and the 2022 EGR B2B Awards. We will, of course, keep you updated on the nominees and eventual winners of each of those as they come in.
