For Wazdan, the Ontario iGaming market adds yet another jurisdiction to the brand’s growing list of regulated jurisdictions hosting the brand’s online casino game titles.
It is exciting news for Ontario casino players as it means yet another software provider is now available in online casinos operating under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)’s iGaming Ontario (iGO) licence. And who better than the Wazdan software provider to fly onto the ever-growing provincial online gambling market?
Top online slot titles and table games will become available on casinos operating on the SkillOnNet platform. This includes the popular PlayOJO, KnightSlots, Slots Magic and SpinGenie online casinos.
Players can expect to have access to a selection of Wazdan’s top titles. In fact, I took the liberty of checking what’s available at PlayOJO Casino Ontario and found most of the Wazdan slot developer’s top titles. My personal favourites are video slots that are part of the ‘Hold the Jackpot’ series.
This includes titles like Sizzling Moon™, Dwarfs Fortune™, Power of Gods™: Medusa, Burning Stars 3™ and Sun of Fortune. I also love the fact that I can choose volatility/variance using the Volatility Levels™ feature, allowing me to choose low, high or medium variance gameplay.
Despite the fact many of these slot titles are only just debuting in the Ontario iGaming market, the Wazdan brand name is already a big deal across North America. The software provider is already a recognised brand in North America after picking up silver in the ‘Rising Star in Casino’ award category at the SBC Awards North America.
As for the company’s Canadian mission, Wazdan registered as an iGaming Ontario (iGO) supplier picking up its official licence in May this year. Since then, the software provider has also landed a Dutch Gaming Authority (NGA) licence, and slightly before that, a Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) licence. The Michigan iGaming authorisation adds to existing West Virginia (Lottery i-Gaming Interim Supplier Licence) and New Jersey (NJDGE) licensing.
Other notable jurisdictions Wazdan operates in include the United Kingdom (UKGC), Sweden (SGA), Switzerland (SGSA), Spain (DGOJ), Portugal (SRIJ), Italy (AAMS), Colombia (CRA) and many more.

Ontario iGaming Market Hosts TOP US & European Gambling Brand Names
When the grand opening of the Ontario iGaming market was fast approaching 4 April 2022 this year, there were few software providers registered with the iGaming Ontario (iGO) authority. With the new rules specifically denying any company that wanted to operate in the province to offer its games via non-iGO licenced casinos slowed down the process. However, the market is now blossoming.
European iGaming brands such as 888Casino, BWIN, LeoVegas, Royal Panda and Playzee already firmly have their foot in the door. Meanwhile, much of the market is made up of US online gambling brands. Namely DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, Bragg Gaming also the via SkillOnNet operator, WSOP and many more.
However, the crux of the software providers supplying these online casinos are European-born entities. The new entrant and one of our favourites, Wazdan. Then there’s also Play’n GO, Playtech, Quickspin, Blueprint Gaming, Relax Gaming, Microgaming, 1×2 Gaming and a growing list of other top brands.
Who is next in Ontario? It is hard to say which software provider will be the next to join the Ontario iGaming iGaming market.
