Following the great success of events 1 and 2, the SPICE (Strategic Platform for iGaming Conference and Exhibition) India event is due to kick-start today at the Goa Marriott Resort & Spa.
The exhibition will take place over 3 days from today 23 March to 25 March. Because of ongoing Covid restrictions in the country, the organiser – Eventus International – postpone the original dates. Nonetheless, we are finally here, and according to Jay Sayta, Strategic Advisor to SPiCE India, bookings poured in as soon as official word got out the event would go ahead.
This year’s SPiCE India is set to be the largest iGaming event ever held in the country, giving online casino and sport betting companies a chance to see what’s ahead in the country’s iGaming market. With names like Play’n GO, TVBet, Endorphina, 1xBet, BetConstruct, and more attending, the new dates do not appear to have affected the event’s original appeal for top brand names to attend. And who would miss such an opportunity, considering the huge potential India offers for the future growth of iGaming?
Today is the perfect occasion for the iGaming world to see how India is moving forward in terms of accepting online casinos and sports betting. Big-name developers and sports betting firms as well as media outlets have been dying to get the inside scope on how the market foresees expansion, future plans for regulations/frameworks, and maybe even get an idea of timelines as well as the format for regulatory changes. On top of this, iGaming and sports betting companies can research how they can set realistic objectives and goals to target a growing market that currently boasts a population of over 1 billion citizens.
SPICE India Sponsored by GLI: It is also worth noting that one of the key event sponsors is Global International Labs (GLI) – one of the most reputable RNG, algorithm, and software testing companies on the iGaming circuit. The company is a great ambassador for fair gaming and will surely show off its mastery in ensuring iGaming companies play by the rules. An ulterior motive here is also to put the minds at ease of those sceptics of the iGaming industry in India who may not fully understand how video slots, table games, and other RNG operated software consistently produce trustworthy results. Furthermore, GLI also certifies live casino games and software, although by-and-large live games naturally have far fewer skeptics.
Plenty of Entertainment Lined Up with a Poker Game & 2 Parties to Attend
Companies are not only getting ready for a sneak peek at the future of how reputable online casinos in India can continue to operate in the country but also their employees and execs have their fair share of entertainment lined up. Notably, there is the ‘SPiCE It Up Networking Poker’ evening lined up. What better way than to break the ice between attendees than a game of poker? On top of this, there are pre and post-event party nights booked in. The pre-event party already took place, successfully bringing attendees together so they could warm up to the occasion together in anticipation of the first day of the event, which kicks off today at 8 am (UTC+05:30). When the event ends on Friday 23 March, there will also be a post-event party to celebrate the end of a surely successful third edition of SPICE India.
What will the main topics be? In between the festivities, perhaps the most talked-about topics for iGaming and sports betting firms will be the regularly changing legal landscape for online casinos in India. The topic will probably include taxes, domestic licensing, and how to encourage responsible gambling amongst the country’s citizens, while as a side subject, firms that encourage cryptocurrency gambling will also be looking at whether India will change its tough stance on the virtual financial end of the industry.
