SOFTSWISS Adds Paid Campaigns

The new ‘SOFTSWISS Paid Campaigns’ could change the dynamics of how operators offer different types of clientele pooled jackpots & promotions.

The SOFTSWISS jackpot aggregator, which has been online since 2021, has been given an upgrade with a new Paid Participation Campaign feature.

Behind this new concept, some casinos will offer jackpots, drops and multi-prizes, which have always been a part of the SOFTSWISS jackpot aggregator system, but operators now have the option to offer players a paid version of these featured add-ons.

Don’t worry, I hear you. Why would you want to pay to participate in a promotion?

However, before you click back or move on to another page, the pay-to-play model is not as bad as you might think. In fact, from my experience, it works really well and is well worth the tiny fees. Although if you are a high roller, I am sure there will be exclusive versions that require higher buy-ins with bigger rewards.

This ‘Paid Participation’ feature is something that the team here at Casinoplusbonus has seen (and something you might have already come across) with the popular BGaming. The software provider has successfully implemented its Dynamic Drops promotions, whereby players pay a minute fee to participate in its prize drop promotions.

The reason this pay-to-play mechanic has been so successful is that the more people that buy in to participate, the higher the prize pool and the more prize drops there are.

Also, when I say small fee, we are talking about a mere €/$ 1.50. That’s 130 Rupee or 27 Rand for the benefit of our readers from India and South Africa. You can also take a look for yourself via our BGaming Drops Frenzy Promotion review.

If you are also an online poker player, then you’ll already be used to paying a buy-in to participate in tournaments, satellites and Sit ‘n’ Goes. P.S. A hobby of mine when I am not writing news, casino review or playing Dota 2!

SOFTSWISS is basically taking a similar concept to BGaming’s Dynamic Drops promotions and adding it to its already very successful Jackpot Aggregator, which it offers to operators as an option along with its iGaming aggregator platform.

It makes perfect sense, too, because BGaming and SOFTSWISS are essentially part of the same company.

As of the time of writing this news report, I have yet to see the new Jackpot Aggregator Paid Participation Campaigns in action, but you can keep an eye out for them via any one of the iGaming platforms listed on our SOFTSWISS online casinos page.

Which Paid Participation Models Can We Expect To See?

Honestly, we don’t know 100% which model we are going to see because it will be down to individual operators how they implement the new Paid Participation tool across the current Jackpot Aggregator’s jackpots, prize drops, multi-prizes and Prime Network Jackpot tools that are currently a part of the add-on to its iGaming and sports betting platforms. With that in mind, we can speculate, which is precisely what I am going to do in the following few sections.

Exclusive Campaigns

Let’s just set a scenario here. I am an operator, and I want to use the SOFTSWISS Jackpot Aggregator to offer my high roller players an exclusive high-paying prize drop promotion or a pooled progressive jackpot network. First, I would instruct my promotion team to set a high buy-in amount of let’s say 1,000 USDT (using crypto as my vanilla currency for this explanation). If my casino brand or brands have let’s say 1,000 players who are used to spending that amount of money in the blink of an eye, and we get a 20% participation rate, we have 200,000 USDT in the kitty.

Not only will only 200 participants compete for the $ 200,000 prize pool, but I could also split the prizes into 10, 20, or 30 segments. Also, there are fewer players, so my 200 entrants know they have a higher chance of landing a cash win versus participating in, let’s say, the Pragmatic Play Drops and Wins promotion or BGaming Prize Drop Frenzy.

Exclusive Paid Participation Campaigns

The main point here is: Fewer participants = better win chances. It also doesn’t have to be a 1,000 USD buy-in. It can be 10 USDT, 50 USDT, and so on. As the buy-in increases, the campaign becomes more exclusive, attracting a smaller number of players.

How The Prize Drop & Multi-prize Campaigns Will Likely Work

Each product offered by the Jackpot Aggregator has slightly different mechanics. However, the basic principle behind each one is similar.

  • The casino adds a guaranteed prize pool – let’s say 10,000 USDT.
  • You pay an entrance fee, which is effectively you opting in.
  • Other players also opt in by paying an entrance fee.
  • The more players who opt in with a buy-in, the higher the prize pool rises.

How The Jackpot Campaigns Will Likely Work

The buy-in would mean that only players who paid the entrance fee would qualify for the jackpots within the campaigns’ pooled jackpot network.

  • The jackpot seeds at a level set by the casino.
  • You pay an entrance fee, so your spins qualify for jackpot wins.
  • Other players also opt in by paying an entrance fee.
  • The more players who opt in, the higher the jackpot rises.

A More Granular Way to Design Promotions & Jackpots

SOFTSWISS has effectively invented a way to give operators more control over how they brand and create the mechanics or rules for how jackpots and tournaments are presented to players. For you as a player, it means that you will likely find more tournaments that are suited to your budget. If you are a budget player, and the tournament caters to you with a low buy-in, you are less likely to come against high rollers and vice versa.

Here are the two main principles that balance out the different types of promotion casinos can create:

  1. The lower the buy-in, the higher the number of players: The promotion can still fetch a high prize pool with multiple players, but there is a lower chance of winning.
  2. The higher the buy-in, the fewer the number of players: The higher buy-in price can fetch a high prize pool, but with fewer players, the higher the chance of winning.

In a sense, the principle of giving operators this kind of control is a bit like market segmentation in the world of commerce. For example, the Hilton caters to high-end clientele, and the Travel Lodge offers affordable accommodation for the middle class. We are now about to see operators using the SOFTSWISS aggregator create promotions for their budget, mid-range and high roller clientele, and maybe even tournaments for the whales!

Let us know if you spot one of these tournaments or jackpots at your online casino. We haven’t found one yet, but the Prime Jackpot network is a good example of this kind of division as only players who bet high stakes can qualify for Prime Jackpot wins.
