Top 5 Video Slot Releases – 2024 Week 7 Update

As each new slot was released throughout the week, our team put them through their paces in order to see which were good enough to make our top 5. We all spun each slot at least 100 times and gave our opinions before having a vote to establish our favourites. This week, we agreed that the top 5 slots that deserve a place in the top 5 and a review were Cash Strike Jackpot King (Blueprint Gaming), Smoking Pistols (Booming Games), 2024 Hit Slot (Endorphina), Rise of Zeus (Belatra), and Lucky 8 Merge Up™ (BGaming).

• Cash Strike Jackpot King (Blueprint Gaming)

The already vast collection of slots in the Jackpot King progressive jackpot series has just got bigger as Blueprint Gaming has released Cash Strike Jackpot King, a simple but featureful 3 reel, 3, row, and 5 payline slot.

This slot takes you back to the early days of slot machines via its reels containing many iconic symbols such as Bells, Plums, Watermelons, Lemons, and Cherries. However, while those symbols will pull in decent payouts, it’s the bonus features, and in particular, the Jackpot King bonus game you’ll want to trigger. Cash Strike Jackpot King  Features Explained

• Wild Symbol: This will substitute for all regular symbols when they can complete a winning combination.
• Gold Cash Collect: Cash symbols can land on the first and third reels, and when the Collect symbol lands on the middle row simultaneously, you win those prizes. Additionally, the Cash Collect symbol can collect the four fixed jackpots if they land – meaning you could scoop the Mini (25x), Minor (50x), Major (150x), or Grand (1,000x) jackpots and their payouts. 
• Cash Strike: As well as collecting the Cash and Cashpot symbols on the current spin, the above Cash Collect feature also triggers a Cash Strike. Any instances of those symbols and the Collect will hold in place while all other positions respin up to three times. Any new symbols are collected, while there is a chance to land additional collect symbols that also collect those values. Each new symbol landed resets the respins to 3. 
• Gold Strike: All Cash and Cashpot symbols that land during the base game will be added to the Cash Strike logo, and when it is full, symbols are added to the reels to guarantee the trigger of the Cash Strike feature.
• Jackpot King: If three Jackpot King Deluxe overlay symbols hit on the same spin, you trigger the Jackpot King bonus game. You can spin the reels to collect Crown symbols, and if you land 15 or more, you receive a spin on the jackpot Wheel to reveal which of the progressive jackpots you win.

Booming Games is another prominent slot developer that has released a new slot in the last week, and it is Smoking Pistols, a wild symbol-heavy video slot that has 4,096 ways to win as standard but can increase to as many as 262,144 thanks to a cascading reels feature that expands the rows.

There are also four types of wild symbols, a random wild feature, a free spins bonus, and a buy bonus. As for the specs, this is a medium to high variance slot with an RTP of 95.6% and a max win of 5,000x the stake.

Smoking Pistols Features Explained

• Cascading Reels with Expanding Grid: Each time a winning combination is created, the winning symbols are removed from the reels, and new symbols drop in their place. However, each cascade also unlocks an additional row up to a maximum of four. This can increase the rows up to 8 in total and with 262,144 ways to win. 
• Wild Symbols: There are four types of wild symbols on the reels, and at minimum, they will substitute for all regular symbols. That is the only role of the standard wild.
• Replicating Wilds: These will randomly move after landing and will leave a trail of wild symbols as they go. These are persistent on the reels during cascades.
• Charged Wilds: These have a charge value, which depletes each time they contribute to a winning combo. When that charge runs out, the wild symbol is removed from the reels.
• Multiplier Wilds: These will hold a random multiplier value of 2x, 3x, 4x, or 10x that applies to the payouts of winning combinations it helps create. Multiple instances of multiplier wilds will have their values multiplied by each other. 
• Random Wilds: Triggered randomly, this feature will add up to 10 regular wild symbols to the reels.
• Second Chance: Also triggered on any random non-winning spin, this feature removes an entire row of symbols from the reels so that new ones can drop in place to potentially create winning combinations.
• Free Spins: You’ll receive 10, 15, 20, and 25 free spins if 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols land as part of the same spin. 
• Buy Bonus: You buy into the free spins bonus directly for a cost of 70x your current bet.
