The game provider, launched in 2021, White Hat Studios, has announced that it has appointed former NetEnt and Entain director Andy Whitworth to become its new CEO.
Whitworth himself has almost 2 decades of experience in the iGaming industry, having been in the business for 19 years. His most notable past roles include high-ranking executive titles at Scientific Games (now rebranding into Light & Wonder), Entain, and NetEnt. Most recently, Whitworth represented White Hat Studios as its CCO, but now he will make the step up as CEO.
There was a statement from the group that commented on the fresh appointment, saying that the group is currently going through an exciting period, as it has made several new recruits.
Whitworth too spoke upon the announcement of his new role, saying that the aim of the company is to target the US market and be recognised as one of its leading game suppliers. White Hat Studios will undoubtedly focus on the quality of the games, but bringing a high level of service to its customers will be of equal importance.
Raising the Stakes – Stakelogic Live Welcomes Richard Walker as new Head of Live Casino
It has been announced that Stakelogic Live has a new Head of Live Casino, as it has appointed accomplished iGaming expert, Richard Walker, to the role.
Walker has served for more than 20 years in the industry, having previously worked at the likes of Rank Group, and a number of roles at Evolution. Stakelogic Live will now benefit from Walker’s vast live casino knowledge, as it looks at becoming the market-leading live casino content provider in multiple European markets and elsewhere across the globe. One of the most recognised brands in iGaming, Gamomat, has announced that it has added to its executive lineup by appointing Dmitry Völkle as Head of Partnerships.
Völkle has an ocean of experience in iGaming, working in a variety of iGaming related fields such as being a software developer at Booxware Softwaresysteme for 13 years. He also had stints at Kerberos Compliance and Zelda Consulting, as well as having spent over 3 years working at Tipico. It is this broad knowledge he has of the industry that played a key part in his appointment. Dietmar Hermjohannes, the founder of Gamomat, told of his delight at being able to welcome Völkle to the ranks. Hermjohannes was aware of how well connected Völkle is convinced that these connections will help Gamomat move to the next level.
Bally’s Finds Capp Replacement – Appointment to Follow Pending Regulatory Approval
Bally’s Corporation will promote Bobby Lavan into the role of Chief Financial Officer, following the standard approval requirements.
Current CFO, Steve Capp, announced that he would be leaving in order to undertake other opportunities, with Lavan taking over the role, having worked as Bally’s senior vice president of finance and investor relations for the past 10 months.
Lee Fenton, the Chief Executive of Bally’s, stated that it was an obvious appointment, having already seen what Lavan is capable of. He believes that Bally’s will continue to grow, and achieve its long-term financial targets once Lavan has passed approval. Bobby Lavan also stated that he has enjoyed the time he has had at Bally’s and will be thrilled to move into his new role. Digitain has Added to its Leadership Team – Former Pragmatic Play Manager Joins Live Casino
Jason Marcelino, the former business development manager at Pragmatic Play, has become the new director of commercial operations at Digitain.
