The prestigious EGR North America Awards took place on Saturday and we can now reveal that the winners of the 29 categories have now been announced.
The event took place at the Midtown Loft & Terrace, in New York City on April 27. As ever, the event was held to honour and celebrate the innovations, achievements, and performance of the brands operating across North American iGaming markets, including the US and Canada.
Awards covered the operators, suppliers, affiliates, payments, and more that have played their part in making the iGaming industry across the region what it is today.
This year, there were 6 headline categories that not only awarded the outright Gold Award winners but also the winners of the Silver and Bronze Awards. In a few other categories where it was a close-run thing between the winner and runner-up, the latter was given a Highly Commended title.
As for the notable winners this year, we can tell you that NeoGames, Light & Wonder, White Hat Studios, BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Paysafe, and Digital Gaming Corporation were among those that went home with the bragging rights.
NeoGames Wins the Hotly Contested Game of the Year Award
NeoGames just pipped Evolution to the Game of the Year in 2023 with its Desert Fantasy slot just earning more votes than Evolution’s Live Craps title. Greentube, who won this award at the 2022 North America EGR Awards, took home the Bronze Award for the Thunder Cash™ Voodoo Magic video slot. Other great games nominated for this award included Light & Wonder’s Jewel of the Dragon – Red Phoenix, Wazdan’s 9 Coins, and Gods of Kemet from Wizard Games.
New EGR North America Awards for 2023: This year saw the first winners of three new awards categories. Those new awards are the Safer Gambling Operator, Compliance Technology Provider, and Safer Gambling Supplier of the Year Awards.
Other Notable Winners at the 2023 North America EGR Awards
White Hat Studios came out on top of a competitive US Rising Star category while Light & Wonder took home the Full Service Platform Provider of the Year Award. Paysafe also won the Payments Provider award for the second year running and BetMGM was named the best Casino Operator of the Year. High 5 Casino, DraftKings, FanDuel, Sportradar, and Digital Gaming Corporation are among the other names that finished the night with awards.
