For those of you who are members of BGO Entertainment Ltd online casinos, the operator has officially announced it will end its online casino offering and cease operating.

Originally, BGO Entertainment had its UK licensing account suspended, as reported in our UKGC Suspends iGaming License news report.

Following the suspension, the UKGC has now revoked the operator’s licensing certificate.

This is simply because the company has decided to surrender the license.

Since the original suspension, the company looked at its current casino operations inside and outside the UK market and decided that it was time to cease operations globally.

The good news for members of any BGO Entertainment iGaming platforms, the closure is being carried out in good faith.

Action has already been taken at the casinos in question, with deposits now suspended. This also means new player sign-ups are also suspended.

Furthermore, BGO has blocked all gameplay at its online casinos. As such, if you happen to be a member of one of the BGO Entertainment casinos, then all you can do right now is withdraw your money.

That doesn’t mean we are saying this operator is bankrupt, and rather it seems like the company is liquidating its position, which we also cover in our casino bankruptcy guide. BGO Casino is just one of many brands affected by the closure of the Guernsey UK-based operator.

On top of this, the affiliate program attached to the casino is also closing. BGO Buddies has long served online casino website reviewing casinos for players so iGaming fans can make the right decision when choosing a casino to play out. BGO Buddies is the affiliates’ reward system behind this, and it will sadly be closed down.

Will the casinos & operators fully close?

Whether all this means the company and its casinos will eventually close is not 100% clear at this time. It could be another company buying out BGO Entertainment, with its principal asset being members left over. Any new purchase would then me the operator can redirect members to its online casinos or continue BGO’s existing ones and transition players over.

Back in October 2021, another company exited the UKGC market. We reported that the closure of the Global iGaming Partners Affiliate Program sent the Casinoplusbonus team an email stating that it can no longer sustain itself in the complex UK gambling industry.
