Wazdan, EGT and Amusnet lead the early winners at the BEGE Awards 2025 in Sofia, celebrating standout achievements across Balkan iGaming.
The merry-go-round of iGaming awards continued last week, with the Balkan Entertainment & Gaming Expo (BEGE) hosting its 2025 awards.
Hosted at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia on November 27, the BEGE 2025 exhibition attracted over 5,000 visitors from 60+ countries. Many of those will have wanted to see which online and offline platforms, operators, software providers and those in other sectors would walk away with awards in return for their continued excellence across various Balkan iGaming markets in Europe.
The list of winners has been slow to trickle through, so we only know of five right now. EGT and Amusnet have so far won two awards apiece, with the latter scooping the Online Game of the Year Award for its Bulgarian Live Roulette title. Wazdan has also won honours, with the popular software provider scooping the Outstanding Game Mechanics award.
Companies were able to self-nominate for these awards, but the final lists were shortened by a hand-picked judging panel that included PopiPlay and Zitro CEOs, Denis Ristić and Sebastián Salat, and the Secretary General for EASG, Pieter Remmers. Those judges also put each award to a vote, with the nominees with the most votes walking away with the honours.
The 2024 BEGE Award Winners: As you’ll see in the 2024 BEGE Award winners listed here, EGT Digital has carried on this year as it finished the last, with the iGaming company walking away with five honours. Betconstruct, Evoplay, Novomatic and CT Gaming were some of the other notable iGaming brands that took home awards.
Confirmed Winners at the BEGA 2025 Awards
As mentioned, the full list has not been made public just yet, but we do know of five esteemed winners. However, we will strive to update this list as and when we learn about the companies, products and individuals that won in their respective categories. Until then, here are those winners, including Wazdan, Amusnet, and the star of the show so far, EGT, who scooped two awards for their strong performance across the Balkan online and land-based gambling markets.
