The most prestigious iGaming award ceremonies have come thick and fast in 2023 and next up is another biggie, particularly if you frequent online gambling markets in North America. That’s right, the SBC Awards North America is fast approaching and we can now bring you the star-studded shortlists containing the iGaming brands vying for the top awards at the event that will take place on 11 May at the New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan, New York.

The event is set to attract 600+ industry professionals representing many of the operators, providers, affiliates, payment providers, marketing, and sports betting platforms that currently operate in iGaming markets across the continent. One thing is for sure, once you see the calibre of brands up for awards this time around, you’ll know this event will prove a cracker. The competition is fierce and predicting a winner at this point seems pointless.

For instance, in the Best Casino Supplier category for 2023, there are 16 brands nominated including Wazdan, Play’n Go, Evolution, Light & Wonder, SOFTSWISS, and Pariplay. There would be few complaints if any of those tier-one iGaming companies were to claim the award. The Rising Star in Casino category is equally as competitive. A dozen firms made this shortlist including the likes of Red Tiger, Wazdan (once again), Wizard Games, and Pariplay. We’re not sure why some of those constitute as Rising Stars as we’d argue they already operate at the top of the industry.

Will Wazdan go one better? Wazdan has been going great guns in North American iGaming markets including Ontario and New Jersey, West Virginia, and Michigan in the US. The company’s performance across those markets led to a nomination at the North America SBC Awards 2022 in the Rising Star category. Although Wazdan missed out on the full award, it picked up the Silver Award. Can the developer go one better this year in the same category or take home the best Casino Supplier award? Potentially, Wazdan could claim both!

Only time will tell on that one and all other awards coming out of the SBC Awards 2023 in April. Until then, let’s take a full look at the iGaming brands deemed good enough for a nomination or two!

Other iGaming brands up for multiple awards: DraftKings is nominated in the most categories this time around with four. However, FanDuel and SOFTSWISS have each been shortlisted in three categories while Evolution is among a host of big names up for two awards.
