2022 SBC Awards Latinoamérica Shortlists Announced – Wazdan & SOFTSWISS Nominated

The nominations are now in for the 2022 SBC Latinoamérica Awards set for later this year. Just the second instalment of the LatAm edition of the SBC Awards, this event celebrates the best perming iGaming, sports betting, and eSports operators and suppliers, payment solutions, affiliates, and media suppliers that operate in the region.

The 2022 SBC Latinoamérica Awards will take place on November 23 2022 in the Seminole Ballroom at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood and reveal the winners of 26 award categories.

The event kicks off with a welcome reception at 7pm local time and guests can expect a dinner before the award ceremony and an after party once all the winners have been revealed.

This event will mark the final SBC Awards held in 2022 following the SBC Awards North America back in July and the SBC Awards 2022 that is scheduled to take place on September 22. As mentioned previously, this is just the second time they have held the awards for the LatAm region, but that just goes to show how rapidly the iGaming industry is growing in markets across Latin America.

Who are the Notable Brands up for an Award at the 2022 SBC Awards Latinoamérica?

There are 26 awards up for grabs at the 2022 SBC Latinoamérica, and there are multiple brands nominated for each. You can see the full list of awards in the box following this section. Among the iGaming brands nominated are some major names including Wazdan, SOFTSWISS, Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Ezugi, Wizard Games, Habanero, Evoplay, and Betsoft.

• Wazdan

Although not a surprise considering Wazdan is often nominated for top awards, the leading slot development company finds itself in the running for two awards. Those are the ‘Casino Supplier of the Year’ and the ‘Industry Innovation of the Year’ awards. Winning one or even both would be another feather in the cap for a firm that already took down the Silver Award in the ‘Rising Star in Casino’ category at the SBC Awards North America a couple of months ago. Wazdan is a top iGaming developer and one that has enjoyed a stellar 2022 so far.

• Pragmatic Play

Pragmatic Play is another iGaming developer that stands a good chance of landing an award or two. In fact, the firm is up for four awards in total. Those nominations are for the ‘Bingo & Lottery’, ‘Virtual Sports’, ‘Industry Innovation’ and ‘Casino Supplier’ awards. Like Wazdan, Pragmatic Play is no stranger to awards having won the Casino/Slots Developer of the Year at the 2021 SBC Awards.

• Evolution

Evolution, the live casino supplier that also owns NetEnt, Ezugi, Big Time Gaming, Red Tiger Gaming, and most recently, NoLimit City also picked up quadruple nominations. Having won dozens of awards over the years, Evolution will certainly provide stiff competition for the other firms nominated in the same categories. The ‘Leader of the Year’ and ‘Casino Supplier of the Year’ are two of the awards this leading firm has earned nominations for.

• SOFTSWISS

Renowned as one of the iGaming industry’s leading aggregation platforms, it is no surprise to learn that SOFTSWISS has picked up multiple nominations. In fact, other than the seven nominations earned by BetConstruct, SOFTSWISS has earned more nominations than any other iGaming brand. The firm is up for five awards, including ‘Rising Star in Casino’ and ‘Industry Innovation of the Year’. Any awards SOFTSWISS picks up will certainly look good next to the ‘Aggregator Platform of the Year’ the firm recently won at the EGR B2B Awards.

• Playtech

It is just the one nomination for Playtech this time around but the award is one of the more prestigious. The iGaming giant is up against the Betsson Group, Entain, Dreams, and Digitain for the ‘Socially Responsible Operator of the Year’.
