CEEG Awards 2022 Winners: Wazdan & Endorphina Among Category Winners!

The 2022 CEEG Awards took place on the 16th of September and we can now reveal the leading brands walked that away with honours for their performance in the Central and Eastern European gambling markets. Wazdan, Endorphina, and Evoplay took home the most prestigious awards relating to the iGaming industry, while other winners included Paysafe, GLI, and Amusnet Interactive.

Hosted in Budapest, this was the seventh instalment of an awards ceremony that first began in 2016. As well as an awards ceremony, this exhibition provided networking opportunities, panel discussions, and more. This time around, there were 20 categories contested by leading land-based, iGaming, and sports betting suppliers and operators. If you caught our post on the 8th of September, we already brought the nominations for the awards relating to the iGaming industry in that region.

However, with the illustrious event now finished, the only thing left to do is clear up which of those leading iGaming firms came away with an award. Each category was keenly contested, so those that did win can feel extremely proud of themselves. In fact, many of the categories had at least 10 or more brands shortlisted for the award.

Although we have witnessed numerous iGaming award ceremonies so far in 2022, there is still more to come. For a start, the SBC Awards will take place as part of the SBC Summit in Barcelona tomorrow. We will bring you news of the winners from those awards as soon as we know ourselves.

Wazdan Wins Best Online Casino Provider

Wazdan has had an impressive year all around so far in 2022. The firm was the recipient of the Silver Winner Award at the SBC North America Awards, has been nominated for an award at the SBC Latinamerica awards, and has released a ton of epic new casino games. For those reasons, it is no surprise that Wazdan has scooped one of the biggest CEEG Awards this year. The firm came out on top in a category that had brands such as Endorphina, Relax Gaming, Ezugi, Playson, Tom Horn Gaming, and Spinomenal in the running.

Endorphina Takes Home ‘The Rising Star in Online Casino Technology’ Award

Another leading iGaming developer that will have celebrated at the event on the 16th of September is Endorphina. While the brand missed out on the award above, it did scoop the Rising Star in Online Casino Technology Award. Like Wazdan, Endorphina had to overcome a category full of major names such as Quickspin, BF Games, Hacksaw Gaming, Ezugi, and Amusnet Interactive.

Other Notable Winners at the 2022 CEEG Awards

As we are focusing on the awards relating to the iGaming industry, we will ignore all other categories. You can find out the full list of winners on the CEEG Awards website if the sports betting and land-based casino industry interests you.

Evoplay Entertainment, a crypto-friendly casino games development company, came out on top in the Online Casino Innovator category. Amusnet Interactive is an iGaming company that has shown strong support for responsible gambling since rebranding from EGT Interactive earlier this year. Although the iGaming developer missed out on a nomination for the upcoming 2022 Global Regulatory Awards, it did win the Best Support for Responsible Gambling here at the 2022 CEEG Awards.

As for other notable brands that operate in the iGaming industry, Paysafe (Best Payments Service Provider) and Gaming Laboratories International (Best Testing laboratory) both walked away with top awards.
