2025 G2E Dealer Championship Las Vegas

The brand new 2025 G2E Dealer Championship is coming to Las Vegas – Who will be crowned the best dealer in the United States?

During the 2025 Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific, we will not only be treated to an awards event, but there will also be a competition to crown the best dealer in the United States.

Dubbed the 2025 G2E Dealer Championship, the nomination process is already underway with the deadline closing on August 4, 2025 or when the competition reaches its maximum capacity, which, according to the event FAQs, will be a maximum of 40.

The competition also involved croquet players, which I will explain. So at this time, the official G2E Dealer Championship page on the Global Gaming Expo website states that:

Participants from across the industry will showcase their skills in blackjack and roulette, engaging in a variety of challenges that highlight their technical precision, flair, and commitment to providing a world-class player experience”.

There will be six roulette tables and six blackjack tables lined up in Hall D of G2E in the Expo Hall for the dealers and croupiers across these two games to show off their skills.

There are no fees for the dealers or croupiers nominated. The only stipulation is that they must be employed either as a full-time or part-time dealer at a land-based casino or by a regulated casino operator, which I am sure would then mean Ezugi, Playtech, and Evolution live dealers working in the US studios for these companies can also be nominated.

When will the G2E Las Vegas take place? It will take place over four days, from October 6 to 9, 2025, at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nominations and Competition Format

Participation begins with a formal nomination by the dealer’s employer. The nomination must be submitted via the ‘Competitor Nomination’ form on the official G2E website. While the same employer can submit multiple nominations, participation is capped to ensure fairness and manageability. Additionally, as mentioned, the competition includes Blackjack and Roulette challenges.

Nomination Process

The Nomination Rules
Who can nominate  Someone in a table games role holding a director-level title or higher in a table games role and employed at the same casino.
Limits
Only one dealer/judge pair may be selected from a single casino property. Also, a maximum of four properties per enterprise or corporate group may be accepted.
Judge info required Each nomination must include details about the judge from the same property who will accompany the competitor.
Submission method An online form is available on the G2E website between July 8 – August 4, 2025.

Competition Format

Challenges will take place in up to three rounds, depending on the number of selected participants, with score cards by the judges scoring 1 to 10 in three categories. 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

Each dealer will be scored across three main areas:

  • Hospitality: How well the dealer interacts with players
  • Technical Skills: Adherence to procedures and precision
  • Game Control: The ability to manage the flow and maintain authority at the table

To ensure consistency and clarity, G2E will provide all participants with the official rules for Blackjack and Roulette in writing before the competition. Both the competitor and the accompanying judge are required to review and sign off on these rules before the event begins.

Why is Casinoplusbonus so Interested in the Event?

Well, we thought, why not? We cover the G2E in Las Vegas awards event every year via our Global Gaming Awards winners list page, and a competition to see some of the world’s best dealers is something we’ve not seen before.

Could it be an Evolution or Playtech live dealer or a dealer from one of the big Las Vegas or Atlantic City land-based establishments? We don’t know. The key is that this event could be the start of something big in the overall gambling entertainment industry.

Although the event doesn’t currently target our usual online casino gaming English-speaking audience, it is an event that, if successful, could potentially expand to the Global Gaming Awards in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.

If it really takes off, why not a world Dealer Championship? Maybe that’s a little too open-minded and far-fetched for now, but it is a real possibility. It could also open up a whole new betting market, while streaming the best dealer in the world will also be an enjoyable online event in its own right.

It beats all those boring, same-old dubious affiliate website awards by Ask Gamblers, AffPapa, and others that are polluting the awards industry with crap so that they can promote their brand. I feel it puts the legitimate awards events back on the map – well, at least in this case, it enhances G2E’s status within the gambling awards industry.
