It is the second bitesize news report covering the second half of September’s sports betting and casino company appointments.
This report is especially for those of you who work in the gambling entertainment industry and need a quick all-in-one run down of the latest managerial, CEO, CFO, exec, and other top positions that have either been filled or vacated.
Former LeoVegas and Enlabs top-level bosses have teamed up to create a new brand rather than move on to new positions at another established gambling brand.
This could mean something special is about to launch. Watch out, LeoVegas, and of course, BetMGM, the owner of LeoVegas, is also looking to break into the UK and European gambling markets.
888 Holdings, another prominent name in the UK and global gambling entertainment sphere has also been busy changing its senior management structure. I’ll provide the complete list below. Plus, there are more major brands with CEOs stepping down, new CEOs joining, and a host of other sports betting and casino company appointments in the Bitesize highlight box. Happy reading!
All new casino company appointments in September 2023: The first report of the month was on the 15 September 2023. 888 Holdings, Stakelogic Live, Aristocrat, Trustly, Bragg Gaming, and more top companies made top-level changes. Catch up with them all here on the Casino Company Appointments (Sep 2023 Part 1) update.
Former LeoVegas Executives Team Up to Establish a New Gambling Entertainment Brand
When you take two leaders from two immensely successful gambling entertainment. it must mean something special is coming! At least, that’s what the latest iGaming and sports betting headlines are suggesting. Melvin Ritsema (former LeoVegas Group general manager) and Chris Davis (former Chief Product Officer at Enlabs) have united to bring a brand called HappyHour to the market.
If you have read the online gambling site reviews page here on Casinoplusbonus and come across LeoVegas and seen how special this platform is. In that case, it is safe to predict that HappyHour will emerge as a strong competitor.
A Shift in 888 Holdings Top Positions to Stem Business Growth
Since the reverse take-over of William Hill and then COVID hitting its retail business hard at the worst time possible, 888 Holdings has had its work cut out for it.
No time is a good time for any business to deal with the effects of the pandemic, but for 888 Holdings, the company is highly geared after taking on massive debt to buy the WH European brand from Caesars. Not to mention a vast £ 18m fine, issues with its VIP services and ex-CEO Itai Pazner stepping down. However, I have always said 888 Holdings is a resilient company.
Here are some of the changes made within 888 Holding’s structure:
- Sean Wilkins: Now the new CFO at 888 Holdings, he will begin his role in February next year. His role as Chief Financial Officer will almost certainly focus on reducing the company’s debt.
- Mark Summerfield: Appointed as the auditing committee chairman and independent non-executive director.
- Limor Ganot: Will also become an independent non-executive director.
- Andrea Gisle Joosen: Another independent non-executive director.
- Lord Mendelsohn: Moves over to 888 Holdings Nominations Committee.
- Anne de Kerckhove: Becomes ESG Committee Chari with the assistance of Mark Summerfield, mentioned above.
- Remuneration Committee: Limor Ganot, Andrea Gisle Joosen and Anne de Kerckhove are now committee chairs.
- Michael Alonso: The Gaming Compliance Committee chair. Again, Mark Summerfield will help with the role along with Ori Shaked and Anne de Kerckhove.
Recent results show the company has reasonably secure financial reports and the latest rising stock prices published in our Gambling Share Prices update to feel confident a plan is in place. Hopefully, the shift in senior management is the next push forward.
