It has been a while since we last did a round-up covering all the senior and executive appointments making the news in the iGaming and sports betting industries. However, we’re here to bring you fully up to date via our latest casino company management & sports betting appointments update.

This week we have big-name appointments made by some of the most prominent companies in the iGaming industry. The likes of Entain, 888 Holdings, and Microgaming have made changes in core management positions and will headline this report. However, we also bring you news of 10+ other appointments made by established gambling companies in recent weeks.

Robert Hoskin Brings an End to His 18-Year CGO Role at Entain – Replacement Named

After an 18-year stint as Chief Governance Officer at Entain, Robert Hoskin has announced that he will step down from the role on the 30th of June 2023. He will stay in an advisory capacity until the 31st of August. Hoskin began his career with Entain, a global gaming company that owns major brands, including BetMGM, Coral, Ladbrokes, BWIN, and others, when he was appointed company secretary and the group director of the legal, secretariat, and regulatory back in 2005.

Simon Zinger, who is the current General Counsel at the company, will assume the responsibilities vacated by Hoskin. Zinger currently holds a role as General Counsel at the gaming firm.

888 Holdings Bring in Ben Hurst as Vice President of North America Expansion

888 Holdings, which just days ago sold off its Latvian operations for € 28.3 million as it continues to turn the tide on recent misfortunes, has also made a change in a senior position.

Boasting a long and esteemed career in the gaming industry, Ben Hurst has been appointed by 888 Holdings as its new VP of North American Expansion. Hurst previously held senior positions with major brands including Viacom and more recently as the Head of Digital at the Madison Square Garden Entertainment Group.

Howard Mittman, the NA president of 888 has stated his delight at the appointment he personally championed having previously worked with Hurst in a consulting capacity.

The initial remit for Hurst will be to oversee strategic developments for the company across the region. This includes focusing on the continued expansion of the SI Sportsbook & Casino brands in the real money online casino Canada Ontario and US markets.

Andrew Clucas ‘Out’ and Stephen Fisk ‘In’ at Microgaming

Wanting to pursue new ventures and opportunities, it was recently revealed that Andrew Clucas has left his role as the CEO of Microgaming after 15 years at the firm. Since starting with the firm in 2009, Clucas worked his way up from positions in sales and business development before landing the COO role in 2018 and then CEO in 2021.

Moving quickly, Microgaming has installed Stephen Fisk as the new man at the Helm. Fisk who has been with Microgaming since 2016 and will move into the role from his former position as COO, is seen as the best man for the job and will now continue the good work put in place by Clucas.

Clucas stated “With Fisk in the role, I know I am leaving Microgaming in the hands of the best man for the job and have no doubt that he and the team at Microgaming will go to achieve great success”

  • Fanatics: Has revealed Gregg Winiarski as the firm’s Chief Legal Officer.
