LatAm Expansion Continues – new Peru appointment + Paraguay partnership

Pragmatic Play is perhaps the most widespread software provider in the LatAm market. One thing is for sure, it is the most talked about in the region. I can say this off the back of the awards the brand has won in the region.  And with its success and regional recognition comes new partnership deals and expansion.

• New Aposta.la Paraguay Partnership: An initial deal for video slots is now in place with Paraguay online casino and sports betting brand Aposta.la. The deals will bring titles such as the EGR operators’ award-winning Gates of Olympus™ and other top video slot titles Pragmatic Play has to offer. Within the official news report, there was also a mention that live casino and virtual sports libraries will also become available soon. This is the fourth deal in 2022 to expand into the Paraguay iGaming market following video slot and live casino partnership deals with Solbet, Slots Del Sol (+virtual sports), and Tower Star earlier in the year.
• New Peru Director appointment: Another important LatAm announcement from the software provider’s news columns reports Celeste Arredondo is now the ‘Country Director for Peru’. The move is part of the brand’s localisation strategy. In May this year, the software provider formed a partnership with VIP 365 online gambling brand, and the brand will certainly be looking to make more similar deals to expand on its 35+ partnership deals formed in the LatAm region in 2022.

Live Dealer Studio Earmarked for Bulgaria

The Pragmatic Play Bulgarian blitz continues, and this time the focus is on the live casino vertical of the brand’s multi-focused iGaming arm. Earlier in the year, the software provider closed a deal with Bulgarian brand Palms Bet. The casino holds permission from the country’s National Revenue Agency, and Pragmatic Play has also satisfied the agency’s requirements to operate.

Now the Pragmatic Play live brand will create over 2,000 jobs in the country by opening a studio based in Sofia. It is surprisingly the company’s second live dealer studio to open as its main studio located in Bucharest, Romania can accommodate a large number of shared and dedicated studios due to its huge floor space.

Bulgaria’s iGaming Popularity: Bulgaria is a popular iGaming market and is growing considerably. I recently reported on a ‘Wazdan Bulgaria Dench B2B Partnership’ where I spotted quite a few well-known software providers operating at Bulgaria National Revenue Agency-approved online casinos. NetEnt, Playson, Amusnet Interactive, Red Tiger, Spribe and others all see this iGaming market as a potential winner for future expansion.
