We have to go back quite a few weeks to beat that number, and once it’s added to the 341 previous games released this year, it means we’re now up to 377 for 2024 so far.

Top 5 Video Slot Releases – 2024 Week 13 Update

After quite a bit of deliberation about which slots we feel should make our top five for the week, we put it to the vote to determine the final result. In no particular order, we have gone with Fishtastic (Red Tiger Gaming), Coins of Ra™ (Betsoft), The Dog House – Dog or Alive (Pragmatic Play), Fireworks Megaways™ (Big Time Gaming), and Mega Moolah 4Tune Reels™ (Games Global). Don’t forget to read until the end of this report, as you’ll also find all the remaining new releases, many of which only just missed out on this top five.

• The Dog House – Dog or Alive  (Pragmatic Play)

We’ve been waiting to get our paws on this one for quite some time. We’ve known The Dog House – Dog or Alive has been in the works for a while now, and finally we get to see what Pragmatic Play has in store for us via the 5th installment in the popular The Dog House series.

This time, the action brings man’s best friend to the Wild West, and as you can imagine, there are some funny scenes ahead. We have a Sheriff dog, a typical Mutt gunslinger, and more. As for the slot itself, there are not too many bonus features that differentiate it from the others in the series, with the biggest change coming in the main free spins bonus game. This is a 5-reel, 3-row, and 20-payline slot featuring a 96.08% RTP, a high variance, and a 10,000x the stake max win.

The Dog House – Dog or Alive Features Explained

• Free Spins: Before the feature begins, you’ll be granted a random number of Free Spins. A 3×3 grid will reveal spins in each cell (from 1 to 3), all of them will be added up and offered to you. During the Free Spins round, the Wild symbols will stick on reels 2,3, or 4 and stay there until the feature ends. The multiplier the sticky Wilds come with will also remain the same throughout the round. You can also trigger 3 additional Free Spins if you land 3, 6, and 9 Wild symbols. Moreover, all the multipliers on the screen will be doubled. The only symbols missing from this feature are the Bonus symbols.
• Buy Free Spins: You can enjoy the Free Spins feature by buying it for 100x the total bet.

Although it didn’t make us howl at the moonlight, The Dog House – Dog or Alive is a revamping of the old slots in its series. Compared to Pragmatic Play’s The Dog House Multihold™, The Dog House® Megaways, and the original The Dog House®, the newest release brings an exciting theme and solid features. We dive deep down into Red Tiger Gaming’s newest slot – Fishtastic! Packed full of interesting features, vibrant graphics, and a mouthwatering 6,125x max win, we just had to give it a try. We also have some curious divers dropping by and snapping the fish. It would be a shame not to take a dip into this bountiful slot.

Fishtastic is a fantastic Red Tiger Gaming slot and compared to other Red Tiger Gaming releases like Bass Boss and Sea Boat Adventure, it sets itself apart with incredible graphics and entertaining divers. We had some fun under the sea with this one and with a max win of 6,125x, we’ll give it a few more spins.

Fireworks Megaways™ Features Explained

• Extra Reel: It adds a new symbol to the reels 2, 3, 4, and 5.
• Reactions: With the exception of Scatters, all the symbols from a winning combo will be replaced by symbols from the reels above and from the right in the Extra Reel.
• Wild: This one replaces all other symbols except for Scatter and can only land thanks to the Firework Wild Bonus.
• Scatter: This symbol only lands on reels 1 and 6. It can activate the Free Spins with at least 2 Scatters on the reels. You can trigger 4 additional Free Spins with 1 scatter on top of the first 2.
• Free Spins: The win multiplier increases from 1 with every Firework Wild bonus. During the Free Spins rounds and reaction, two Extra Reel positions will be lit at random and both can activate the Firework Wild Bonus. You can also retrigger Free Spins with at least 2 more Scatters.

No treasure is left unburied in our analysis, here’s what you can expect from the newest Betsoft release:

• Wilds: It replaces all symbols except for the Bonus and Ra Bonus symbols and can land anywhere on the reels.
