Matching the number of new releases revealed in our last update, 24 new games hit popular online casinos worldwide. On top of the 73 other new games released this year, that brings us up to 97 for 2024.

These came from prominent software developers such as BGaming, Wazdan, Relax Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Play’n Go, NoLimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, and Blueprint Gaming.

Top 5 New Online Casino Games in Jan Week 4 2024

As ever, we found it difficult to whittle the 24 new casino games launched last week down to a top 5, but after much deliberation we’ve gone with Blazing Link & Win (Wishbone Games), Wild Heart (BGaming), Loki’s Riches (Pragmatic Play), Hercules Unleashed Dream Drop (Relax Gaming), and Pigeon Hut (Stakelogic).

• Blazing Lake Link & Win (Wishbone Games)

The popular online slot game developer Wishbone Games has added Blazing Lake Link & Win to their catalogue. Their newest slot is a sleek and stylish take on an original classic. The simple fruit-themed slot does a great job of combining the classic feel with a modern style.Blazing Lake Link & Win has a 3×3 basic reel layout with only 5 fixed paylines. The RTP is 96.21%, and the win volatility is medium. There are bonus Wild and Coin symbols, Expanding Wilds and the signature Link & Win feature. These bonus features will help players achieve the 1,000x max payout multiplier.

• Wild Symbol: Wild Symbols may land on any of the reels at random times. Once they land, they serve as a replacement symbol. Wilds can count as any other regular paying symbols to create or add to a winning payline. The only symbol that Wilds cannot replace is the Coin symbol.
• Expanding Wilds: Wild symbols will also expand vertically when they land on a reel where they can create a winning symbol combination.
• Coin Symbols: Coin symbols will trigger the Link & Win feature when 3 lands on the middle reel. All the Coins have different values attached, ranging from 1x to 20x.
• Link & Win Feature: Once triggered by 3 coin symbols on the middle reel, the Link & Win feature will move them above the reels, and players will get 4 chances to land more coins. Coin and Diamond symbols can land during these chances, and if one lands, it resets the number of chances. Coins go up to 20x, while Diamonds go up to 500x. All the values of the coins get added together to calculate the total payout. If the payout after the chances is less than 20x the bet, the chances are reset back to 4.

Wishbone Games might not have the largest collection of games currently, but we feel this is a developer to keep an eye on. As it is a partnering company of Games Global, you know it is getting a lot of support from one of the industries biggest brands. Spin Bet Combination Multipliers: There are 5 winning paylines across the 3 reels. To get a winning payout, 3 matching symbols need to land on one of these fixed paylines. Each of the symbols will have a different payout multiplier depending on the value of that symbol. If you land 3 matching symbols on a payline, the multipliers will be the following: seven/wild (50x), strawberry (30x), watermelon (20x), grapes/lemon (16x), plum/orange/banana/cherry (4x).

• Wild Heart (BGaming)

BGaming has released another beautiful addition to its slot catalogue with Wild Heart. The slot has excellent aesthetics with rewarding features and a great game feel. As always, BGaming does not disappoint. It is not for nothing that they are a leader in online slot game development.

Wild Heart has a 5×4 reel layout with 20 fixed paylines on which combinations can be made. The game volatility is medium to high, and the theoretical RTP is 96.92%. There are many great bonuses, including Wild, Scatter, and Bonus Heart symbols. Features include Free Spins, Sticky Wilds, Extra Multipliers, Buy Bonus, and a Wild Frames Feature.

• Wild Symbol: Wild symbols can appear on any reel at any time. Wilds can substitute any of the other symbols to create winning combinations. Scatter symbols are the only symbols that Wilds cannot count as.
• Free Spins: 3 or more Scatter symbols landing on the reels will trigger the Free Spins feature. Scatters are the horse symbols and only appear on reels 1, 3, and 5. The round will consist of 10 free spins, and it is not possible to retrigger them.
• Sticky Wilds: Every Wild that lands on the reels during the Free Spins feature will become sticky and remain in place until the end of the Free Spins.
• Wild Frames Feature: This feature is activated by the Heart symbols appearing on the reels. The feature includes a cycle of 10 spins, with every Heart symbol becoming sticky and the frame becoming golden. At the end of the 10-spin cycle, all the Hearts will turn into Wilds.
• Extra Multiplier: When the Wild Frames Feature is active, and a Heart symbol with a golden frame lands on the spot, the round multiplier is increased by 1x. At the end of the 10-spin cycle, the multiplier is reset to 1x.
• Buy Bonus: A bonus Free Spins game can be purchased and triggered anytime. Depending on the selected option, the price will be 50x, 120x, or 400x. There is a regular option, a plus 2×2 Wilds option, and a plus 3×3 Wilds option.

BGaming has certainly started 2024 in good form. Most symbols need to land a minimum of 3 times on a payline to trigger a payout, except for the highest-paying character symbols which will pay for landing 2 times, and all symbols can land up to a maximum of 5 times. For a 5 of a kind combination, the payout multipliers per symbol will be the following: Wild/male character (200x), guitar/female character (75x), coins/rose/hat/fan (60x), A/K/Q/J/10 (30x).

• Loki’s Riches (Pragmatic Play)

Pragmatic Play takes players into the world of Norse mythology with their newest release, Loki’s Riches. The slot’s game design and graphics are outstanding, something we have come to expect from Pragmatic Play. Beyond that, the bonus features and game mechanics also make it rewarding for players.

Loki’s Riches has a 7×7 reel layout and operates with cluster pay mechanics. The game volatility is high, and the theoretical RTP is 96.04%. • Tumble Feature: Once a spin is finished, the symbols are evaluated, and all winnings are paid out. Every symbol that was part of a winning combination will disappear, and symbols above it will drop down to fill the space with new symbols dropping in from above. The symbols will then be re-evaluated, and the process will continue if there are more winnings. That continues until there are no more winnings to trigger another tumble.
• Special Expanding Symbol: During regular spins, the Special Expanding Symbol can be activated at random. Once activated, one of the standard paying symbols is selected to expand into more of the same symbol. This symbol will expand into a 2×2 cluster to create more winning opportunities.

The maximum multiplier is awarded when 25 or more of the same symbol are combined and in that case, the multiplier will be the following: Loki statue (10,000x), ring (1,000x), hammer (500x), shield (300x), red symbol (150x), orange/pink symbol (100x), green/blue symbol (50x).

• Hercules Unleashed (Relax Gaming)

Relax Gaming has added yet another slot to its Dream Drop progressive jackpot network, which the provider does every month. That collection now has over 20 titles, meaning it now has the sort of numbers you’ll find in the Mega Moolah and Age of the Gods networks – plus, Relax Gaming is likely to continue adding more soon.

This happens when five Dream Drop symbols land in any position on the reels. I’ll take you through that unique aspect of this slot and all the rest of its features throughout this review, but for now, I’ll sum up the details of Pigeon Hut. It is a 5-reel, 3-row, and 20-fixed payline slot with a 96% RTP and a 3,500x max win. The features you’ll come across include wild symbols, a respins feature with multipliers, a free spins bonus, and a buy bonus.

• Wild Symbols: The wilds on this slot will substitute for all regular symbols when they can create or enhance winning combinations.

I had a cracking time playing Pigeon Hut from Stakelogic.
