Gaming companies large and small gathered earlier this month in London for the ICE gaming trade show. After ten shows in the UK capital, the biggest and most hyped event in gambling is bidding farewell before moving to Barcelona next year.
Industry giant Merkur Gaming was front and center to send off this London finale in style. This is right after the company announced Gauselmann rebranded to Merkur.
As one of the major exhibitors, Merkur displayed its latest and greatest products at booth N4 (stall numbers 110, 210, 230 and 250).
Attendees were able to dive into Merkur’s offerings and celebrate one last hurrah for ICE London. The international brand has built its reputation on showcasing cutting-edge innovations to the industry.
Merkur is underscoring its commitment to what’s next while commemorating this closing chapter. With the curtains soon closing on an era, all eyes turn to 2025 when ICE’s Barcelona debut kicks off the next generation. Merkur arrived ready to impress. Their 2,000 square meter display overflowed with new products like the Mod Ex. It’s a multi-game unit with swap-able screens, bodies and bases for maximum versatility. Other crowd pleasers were four new progressive jackpots with names like Link Wave and Link Zone Lounge. Beyond the slots and tables, sister companies got in on the action. Attendees explored cash handling systems, a digital wallet called Paylado and more for various global markets.
“We’ve celebrated huge victories at ICE London,” said Jürgen Stühmeyer of Merkur Sales. “And while we’ll miss this city, Barcelona is next to bring fresh chances to wow customers.” Meanwhile Execs like Athanasios “Sakis” Isaakidis were jazzed by the enthusiasm. He said Merkur has delivered the goods to players and partners alike. Now, the team looks forward to bringing the hits and more to Spain in 2024.

Merkur Steals the Show with Cutting-Edge Gaming Tech
The energy was high on the trade show floor as people gathered around Merkur Gaming’s flashy new products. One that stood out was the Mod Ex – a multi-game machine where you can swap out screens, bodies, and bases to customize it. It looked cool. Merkur also showed off four new jackpot systems with enticing names like Link Wave and Clash Link. These progressive prizes could rack up some serious winnings for lucky players. In addition to the main Merkur offerings, attendees checked out games and tech from 10 other companies Merkur owns. Items tailored for Spanish and German players, cash handling gadgets, and a digital wallet app called Paylado, which we’ll go into in more detail below.
With all these creative new machines and prizes, Merkur likely scored some new fans at the big show.
New Merkur Offerings Blend Physical and Digital Casino Worlds
Their eSolutions division presented a forward-thinking approach to blending stationary casino gaming with the online world. Working with their partner companies, Euro Payment Group, Bede Gaming, and Edict Egaming, they came up with some neat solutions for connecting the two spaces.
A major piece they highlighted was their e-wallet called Paylado, which many are calling the most cutting-edge online payment platform for gamers. Also featured at Merkur’s convention booth were the cash-handling pros at GeWeTe. They brought their latest and greatest products, like the popular Cash-Center Premium model and the brand-new Cash-Center Slim. By teaming up with their subsidiaries and rolling out new tech like Paylado, Merkur made it clear they’ve got their sights set on fully integrating online and land-based gaming. They want to create a seamless experience that works for the modern, tech-savvy casino gamer.
