Another bout of new appointments in the iGaming industry is upon us as the industry’s top players look to improve their position with new personnel.
The companies I will cover below are 888 Holdings (another new appointment), GambleAware®, Novomatic, BMM Test Labs, Entain, VideoSlots, Bebe Gaming, Allwyn UK, and Freemarket.
In fact, July 2023 has been one of the busiest months I have seen when it comes to positions being filled or vacated across the gambling entertainment industry. So much so, this is my third report in July just to cover all the movers and shakers across a multitude of companies.

In that report I covered new CEO positions filled at BF Games and Codere Group. New executive appointments at The Star Casino, Massachusetts Gaming Commission and Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. Plus, LiveScore added a new brand ambassador, Lucky Streak appointed a Commercial Director, and ComeOn Group brought in a Head of Customer Engagement. And to finish off Len Ainsworth, the founder of – you guessed it – Ainsworth celebrated his 100th birthday.

Onwards and Upwards: Let’s get down to business and see which other new gambling entertainment appointments have been in the news headlines this July 2023.
New MD & CCO for UK and Ireland at 888 Holdings
Alexis Zamboglou is the new managing director at 888 Holdings UK and Irish operations sector. He will take on the responsibility of overseeing some of the LSE stock exchange listed firm’s top brands operating in the region.
He has come in to replace Phil Walker who is now the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Also, Mr Zamboglou has moved from within the company’s ranks as his previous role was part of the William senior management teams after becoming part of the company in 2020. It is always great to see companies promoting personnel from within the ranks.
Back in the June Casino Company Management report, our news journalist and editor Mathew O’Connor reported that 888 Holdings brought in Ben Hurst to take on the role of Vice President of North America Expansion.
888 Holdings Back on Track: It’s been a busy time restructuring, and thankfully this is reflected in the share price now close to 100 GBX after being as low as 50 GBX just a couple of months back.
Novomatic New Commercial Director in Mexico
In the Mexico Novomatic casino arm of the company’s operations, the Crown Gaming Mexico Casino has appointed Enrique Manjarrez to the role of commercial director. His experience spans back to Scientific Games where he began his career in 2006. Since that role, he moved to American Gaming in 2012 and then became the marketing director of Sunny Group. He also took on the role of brand and product director at Aurify in Mexico. At Aurify he changed to sales and product director up until making the decision to move to Novomatic.

GambleAware Adds 3 Members to Its Lived Experience Council
The charity organisation created to deal with problem gambling has added three new members to its recently created ‘Lived Experience Council’, which has. Steve Ramsey (an experienced NHC Gambling Clinic professional) and Megan Vanderson, who took part in the Gordon Moody’s residential treatment program to recover from problem gambling. The third member has not been revealed at this time and will likely remain unnamed.
