Looking for iGaming business news? We cover 888 Holdings’ CEO resignation, Greentube’s expansion & Tom Horn’s no-limit paid leave policy! (Image by Etienne Girardet on Unsplash )

Sometimes iGaming isn’t always about gaming. It is a community of games, operators, suppliers, tech companies and more. However, I also understand the business side of the industry is not everyone. Therefore, if you are a pure gamer, then this news piece may not be for you.

That said, before you turn away, don’t leave without reading the intro paragraph below this sentence just in case you enjoy a bit of gossip!

Today we’ll take a sneak peek at the dream employee policy handed out by the Tom Horn Gaming software provider’s management team. Unlimited holidays! I.e., there is no limit to paid leave for the company’s staff. Are any job applications going? Check it out below…

On top of this, 888 Holdings is already on a new path after the recent resignation of CEO Itai Pazner. The company is already traversing pastures new after its reverse takeover of William Hill International, which came gift-wrapped with the famous sports bookie’s high street stores as well as the award-winning Mr Green Casino. However, after the resignation of its CEO as well as poor stock and financial performances (as per our latest iGaming stocks report), what is next for the 888 brands?

We also delve into the second acquisition this year for the Greentube software provider, which is the digital online gaming arm of Australian giant Novomatic – the second most valuable firm in the country behind Red Bull.

Are you still with us? If you would like to read these stories in more detail, check out the subheadings below!

Who Would Like to Apply for Unlimited Paid Leave?

If you would like to make the move to Malta and work for an iGaming firm, then Tom Horn Gaming could be the company for you. Especially since the software provider just implemented a new employee policy that gives its staff unlimited paid leave.

Now employees can take time off with no fixed amount of time for a vacation. Imagine that extra week away rather than being tied down to 2 weeks. That said, Casinoplusbonus has the same policy, so without blowing my own trumpet, I don’t need to imagine!

Working on the island of Malta must feel like a holiday in itself on the weekends. What’s more, the company has plenty of job vacancies up for grabs via the Tom Horn Gaming vacancies page.

CEO Ondrej Lapides said: “The world is constantly changing and we embrace the new challenges with an agile approach that allows for new innovative solutions, not only in product development but also in the way we work and relax.”

888 Holdings CEO Resigns & Exits Middle East Amidst Regulatory Issues

In the latest news from British sports betting and online casino giant 888 Holdings, CEO Itai Pazner has stepped down. He was in charge for four years and oversaw the company’s acquisition of William Hill International and record highs for its stock prices.

Nonetheless, since the William Hill International acquisition, 888 Holdings has not been its usual ‘top of the game’ self financially. But don’t worry, the company still offers some of the best online casino, sports betting, and poker gambling online today!

With that being said, since its 24 September 2021 London Stock Exchange (LSE) market high of 458 GBX, its stock price has plummeted to 72.89 GBX (-84%) to date. For investors, it is a cause for concern as the current price is under the 20 March 2020 record low of 80.85 GBX. There is still no cause for concern as the market cap still stands at £325.33 million.

The exit from the Middle East comes via a recent announcement in which allegedly 888 Holdings is in breach of AML and KYC rules in regard to its VIP customers in the region. For now, all we know is there is a full investigation underway.

Anything to worry about? As per the 888 Holdings Q3 financial report, the company still has a sound business strategy in place and just needs to weather the storm. Once this happens stock prices and revenue should begin to rise again!

Cost Implications to 888 Holdings over 2022

  • Exit from the Netherlands: A predicted 15% toll on the company’s online revenue.
  • Current Middle Eastern Suspension: A predicted 3% loss in revenue until the company resolves the matter.
  • Increase in Regulatory Costs: The cost of regulatory changes across the various regions the company’s casino, poker and sports book operates.

Greentube Makes Its Second Acquisition of the Year

In another move to continue Greentube’s expansion plans in the iGaming industry, the company acquired software development firm Ineor d.o.o. to add to its earlier 65% majority shareholder acquisition of Alteatec IT Solutions Limited. On top of this, Greentube also signed a patent agreement with IGT (the owner of iSoftBet), has a joint venture with Flamingocatz, acquired US land-based company Present Creativeand, and to top it all off, the software provider also recently launched its Greentube Mynt system. It is all systems go for the developer that currently brings the famous Book of Ra video slot to the iGaming scene.

CFO/CGO Michael Bauer gave us a hint of just how big 2023 will be for the brand saying “This acquisition is a fantastic one as we continue to bolster our technology platform in what will be a very big year for us strategically”. Keep your eye out for Greentube as its about to burst onto the iGaming scene bigger than ever!
