Entain Proves More Players Engage with Responsible Gambling

Entain has reported that its Advanced Responsibility and Care (ARC) player protection tool usage has increased by a whopping 92%.

This AI technology steps in and advises players on how to avoid developing problem gambling habits, and so far, it has intervened 8.7 million times. On top of this, according to the ‘Protecting Players the Entain Way‘ report back in 2023, it has successfully managed to get 98% of players classed as high-risk gamblers and 41% as low-risk players to set up responsible gambling limits.

In the latest Entain ESG Report 2023-24 report, shows that the ARC tool has intervened 8.7 million times, instigating 65% of medium-risk players to set up responsible gambling measures. Plus, 98% of players deemed as high-risk set up responsible gambling measures.

These tools include loss, session time, deposit and bet limits.

Players can also self-exclude from real-money betting for an extended period or cool off by banning themselves from real-money gaming for an hour to 24 hours. These measures allow players to calm down and think before chasing losses.

Currently, the ARC player protection tool has been rolled out across the Republic of Ireland and the UK in land-based venues and online casinos under the Entain operator’s wing across global jurisdictions.

Thanks to its innovative programming, the tool can sport certain gambling habits, such as chasing bets by raising your bet amount when losing. It then intercedes with the player, asking them whether they should take a break or think carefully about how he or she wants to continue.

This isn’t the first time the news team here at Casinoplusbonus has reported on the trending increase in use of responsible gambling tools. Entain proves a major personal breakthrough from my own experiences

For me personally, this is a major breaking through in casino gaming. I’ve been working in the iGaming and sports betting industry for over 14 years and gambled online for double that number.

The words I hate to hear the most are “casino players don’t care about responsible gambling tools”. I often hear this phrase from people who don’t gamble like myself, and instead, they ‘work’ in the iGaming industry with little knowledge of a real player’s thought process.

My message to anyone that says this is – you don’t gamble, and you don’t know gamblers! The only other reason they may this is because they gamble alone and jusge the entire market by their own habits.

Honestly, I often have to hold my tongue because I’m nice like that, but inside I am thinking ‘What do you know?’ because you’ve already told me you don’t gamble.

Why do my friends and I use responsible gambling tools?

Speaking from personal experience, the reason we use responsible gambling tools is because my friends and I have all had bad days when we gamble. Almost all of us have attempted to chase our losses by countering our pre-match bets during the game with in-play bets.
