eCOGRA, a leading testing, inspection, and certification service provider, has unveiled an exciting new brand campaign that includes a refreshed identity, an engaging website, and a commitment to fair gaming and regulatory compliance.

The company’s expansion into new jurisdictions and focus on customer service set the stage for continued growth and innovation in the online gambling industry.

eCOGRA (e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance) came online in 2003, roughly 7 years into the birth of the iGaming and online sports betting verticals. The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) had already been in action for 2 years after opening in 2001. However, at the time, the licensing framework was not what it is today. Yet, both eCOGRA and the MGA had the same mission.

Both organisations’ missions were to promote fair play and responsible conduct among online gambling operators. The ultimate goal was and still is to protect players from fraud and other unethical behaviour from unscrupulous online casinos. There was a time in which players would actively seek out eCOGRA casinos because the services offered included mediation, and player Vs casino dispute support, and casinos also had to publish regular RTP reports to show their games are random.

Casinos with the eCOGRA Seal of Approval: Even today there are still plenty of online casinos that use the eCOGRA seal of approval. William Hill, 888 Casino, Europa Casino, and Royal Panda are examples you will find on our list of secure online casino sites.

New US Market Expansion – 4 states already in the bag!

Over the past few months eCOGRA has closed a deal that will bring its independent testing laboratory (ITL) stateside. Currently there are six states offering online casinos and the company already has its foot in the door in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan iGaming markets. We will also be seeing the company’s services offered in all three states online sports betting markets as well as in Colorado’s online sports book market.

All that awaits a pending final hurdle of tests by the New Jersey (NJDGE), Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), and Colorado Division of Gaming (CDG) respectively. Once those tests are complete eCOGRA is set to become the first official online gambling testing authority from overseas to offer such delicate services within the USA. And this only the beginning as the obvious plan will be to extend its testing and compliance services into more states where either or both online casinos, poker, and sports betting are operating under local state laws.

  • Plans to expand services into more states

eCogra Will Begin By Making Three Key Changes

The start of a new era for eCOGRA has a new logo, brand video, and a brand new website design.

  • Redesigned Website: I am impressed with the new website because it immediately indicates what the company is all about. On the previous website, I had to sift through menus to research the services offered. Now there are boxes immediately showing that eCOGRA is an ‘Accredited Testing Laboratory (Denmark, Greece, Sweden, and Switzerland)’, ‘Accredited ISMS Certification Body’ , ‘Accredited Inspection Body (Netherlands)’, ‘Accredited Product Certification Body (Sweden and Greece)’, and ‘Accredited Inspection Body (Greece, Sweden, and Switzerland)’. There is also information covering ADR and Cyber Security Assessments, Certified Client Verification and Survey forms, and Product Certification. In short, the entire suite of services are visually obvious and the website is easy to navigate. Great job!
  • Fresh Logo: Not much has changed with the logo. The tick still remains in place, which is there to indicate the high standards the company holds itself to. To save time explaining the change, check out the image in the box to the right. If you are reading this via mobile, then scroll down. You will see the ‘e’ is now orange indicating the company’s warm and welcoming attitude towards its clients. The logo is also more pronounced with a new font, which shows the company has a strong reputation. All-in-all, I can see a lot of thought has gone into the new rebranded logo.
  • A New Brand Video: Directly on the home page of the new eCOGRA website, you can watch the new brand video. This backs up the information on the website site by giving existing and potential customers an engaging video to see exactly how eCOGRA can help online gambling companies via its testing and compliance services.
