Three innovative iGaming brands have had cause to celebrate this week after earning the licences needed to operate in new regulated iGaming markets. Edict, BGaming, and 4ThePlayer all received an ‘accepted’ tick on their applications to the regulatory bodies of key online gambling markets.

Edict added to its portfolio of licences with another from the MGA, our esteemed media partner BGaming can now operate in Romania, and 4ThePlayer obtained the authority to offer its services in Michigan, US. It is important to remember that while the perpetual development of quality casino games is a core component of success for iGaming brands, continued market expansion is just as important.

All three software development companies can now showcase their high-quality products to a wider target audience following the announcements of these new licences.

BGaming Granted Romanian iGaming Licence

BGaming is the first of the brands to secure the licencing and certification to operate in a new market. The cryptocurrency-friendly supplier has received a Class II licence from the RNGO (Romanian National Gambling Office). This means that operators and players in the country will gain access to BGaming’s portfolio of over 90 video slots, including popular titles such as Elvis Frog in Vegas, Wild Cash x9990, and Beer Bonanza.

In anticipation of receiving regulatory approval, BGaming has already secured a content partnership agreement in Romania this week. We reported a few days back that BGaming’s extensive range of titles would feature on Reevo, a leading Romanian aggregation platform. With this licencing now approved, we expect further news of the brand’s expansion into this new region in the coming weeks and months.

BGaming’s CEO Marina Ostrovtsova said: “We’re happy to resume our business on the Romanian market and see great opportunities for growth. Now that our content officially matches the standards of the regulators, we cannot wait for Romanian players to enjoy the top-tier games that we develop.”

Provisional Michigan Licence Allows 4ThePlayer to Continue US Expansion

Another software developer that has made market moves this week is 4ThePlayer. An independent partner of the now Global Games-owned Microgaming can now operate in its second US state after it received a provisional licence from the state of Michigan. This news comes just a few months after the brand announced it had gone live in New Jersey. The firm is now free to supply its games to any partnering operators within the fast-growing iGaming market. Among the titles the supplier is expected to make available to players in the state include its flagship title 9k Yeti.

Chris Ash, the brand’s co-founder, said: This latest milestone is just another during exciting times for our company. We have put strong focus on rolling out across major US states and we will continue on this particular journey over the next 12 months as we seek to enter all other US markets.

Edict Granted an MGA Supplier Licence

Edict eGaming GmbH, the German software developer and aggregation platform is also celebrating access to new markets. The iGaming brand has recently revealed it has been granted a licence by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). With that licencing in place, the Gauselmann Group subsidiary can now operate and offer its services in regulated markets across the EU.

The CEO of Edict eGaming GmbH, Dominic-Daniel Liénard said: “We’re delighted and extremely proud to announce our new MGA licence. This is another example of our endeavour to obtain regulation in as many markets as possible. Next on the list is to expand our US footprint and apply for an an Ontrio licence.”

That MGA licence is now alongside the one held by its affiliate, Edict Malta Limited, and will boost the brand’s reputation in key iGaming markets in Europe. Edict also holds licences issued by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), the Gambling Commission of the Isle of Man and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

The Gauselmann Group is the family-run company that has operated in the gambling industry since 1957. That firm also owns and operates the German powerhouse, Merkur.
