Now that the dust has settled, and the air has cleared on yet another ICE London exhibition, it is time to take a look back at some of the major highlights that came from one of the iGaming industry’s most prominent events.

With close to 700 iGaming companies in attendance, there’s certainly a lot to talk about. In fact, there is so much more than we can fit into a news post of so many words.

However, what we can do is bring to your attention some of the biggest news to come from this year’s event. We have record numbers, new games and product launches, fresh branding, and more to get through.

In the highlights we have for you, we reveal that the 2023 ICE London exhibition has broken all previous records. We also have news of a new live casino brand from Digitain and the Malta Gaming Authority undergoing a complete re-branding.

On top of all that, we have a bunch of other smaller highlights from this prestigious iGaming event.

MGA Unveils a New Brand Identity at Ice London 2023

In an effort to strengthen the iGaming industry’s reputation and etiquette, the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has unveiled a revamped image at this year’s ICE London. That included a brand new logo that reflects the regulator’s drive for progression in the iGaming industry, and a revamped website that offers improved ease-of-navigation and a sleeker design. It is a new era for licensing authority that is in the process of licensing casinos to offer cryptocurrencies.

You can check out the new look website design and logo on the official MGA website here. It also means we have to change all the logos across this site! But all jokes aside, I have to say, it look great.

ICE London Sets Attendance Record

Before we get to some of the other highlights that came from the 2023 ICE London held last week, one of the biggest is the event itself. Although requiring an independent audit to confirm the figure, it is estimated that over 40,000 visitors were in attendance at the ExCeL between 7 and 9 February. If true, the 2023 event will beat the previous attendance record of 36,000 set at ICE London in 2020.

Obviously, as the pandemic meant the cancellation of the 2021 event and a subsequent scaled-down version a year later, records were never expected in the two years prior to this one. However, with the world returning to normality and the iGaming industry continuing to thrive, many felt 2023 could become a record-breaking year.

As it turns out, the event was a huge success. All 41 halls of the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre were booked out with representatives from across all sectors of the international gaming industry – land-based operators, manufacturers and bookmakers, along with all aspects of legalised and licensed street gaming, including sports betting.

Attendance records were set with the world’s biggest gaming industry trade show occupying an unprecedented 51,466 square metres of net space – more than double the previous high of 49,690 square metres in 2020. In addition, a new ICE VOX Masterclass program saw more than 5,000 visitors taking part in the event’s signature content program.

Note: Taking advantage of such a large audience were iGaming authorities, including the UKGC and MGA. As you will find out later, the Malta Gaming Authority has a new look. As for the former, as we reported at the time, the UKGC gave 3 speeches at ICE regarding important topics such as consumer behaviour, responsible gambling, illegal online gambling, the need for the continual globalization of the iGaming industry, and more.

Digitain Used ICE London to Showcase Launch of ImagineLive

Most iGaming brands at ICE London use the event to showcase their latest products, innovations, and solutions. However, one of the biggest launches in 2023, was ImagineLive, a brand-new live casino solution offered by Digitain. The firm announced it will launch live variations of Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat that offer cameras mounted on robotic arms. That will allow players to get even closer to the action as the robot arm allows for more angles and up close and personal close-ups.

Also primed for release are two other titles. First, Dynamite Roulette is a live casino roulette title that features multipliers. Players that place straight-up bets could receive much larger payouts if that number comes in compared to standard roulette tables. Second, Pirates Plunder is a live casino game that marks the firm’s first foray into the live gameshow vertical. Results are determined by a giant wheel that can roll in multipliers and bonus rounds.

Digitain also took advantage of the ICE London exhibition to showcase its Relum Casino Engine, an aggregation platform that offers 13,000+ games from over 160 iGaming providers.
