We’re now just over a month away from the 8th annual SBC Awards and the nominations for some of the iGaming industry’s most illustrious awards have been announced!

The 2021 SBC Awards will take place at 6 pm on December 14 at the Evolution London venue and will continue until late into the night. So far, it is expected that around 800 guests will attend the event that includes a champagne reception, a 3-course dinner, the awards ceremony, and an after-party.

The SBC Awards will once again give recognition to online casino and sportsbook operators and suppliers that have excelled in an increasingly competitive iGaming industry. The achievements of payment providers, affiliates, platform providers and marketers will also earn recognition.

The industry as a whole has faced unprecedented times in recent years, and this event will go some way to celebrating how iGaming brands have managed to navigate their way through. This time around, there are 43 award categories in total, and the eventual winners will be fully deserving of their accolades.

This is the 8th awards ceremony held by the SBC awards and hundreds of iGaming brands have been recipients of awards throughout the years. Just last year, LeoVegas was the deserved winner of the Casino Operator of the Year, Wazamba Casino was the recipient of the Innovation in Casino & Gaming Entertainment Award, and Relax Gaming scooped the Casino / Slots Developer of the Year. Other big winners included Pragmatic Play, Evolution, BetGames, and MuchBetter.

The SBC Will Announce 43 New Category Winners on December 14th!

Once again, 43 iGaming industry awards will be handed out during the SBC Awards ceremony. Commencing after dinner at 9 pm, that ceremony will last for a little over an hour. When all winners have been announced, they and the industry professionals will celebrate during a 2-hour after-party. Free drinks are handed out during the dinner and the ceremony, so many will already be worse for wear by this point.

With so many awards categories spread across different sectors, rather than speaking about each, I will focus on those relevant to the online casino industry. Below, you will find a list of some of the more relevant awards in the Operator and Supplier categories. The two big awards are the Casino Operator of the Year, which has names including 1xBet and the Betsson Group among the nominations, and the Casino / Slots Developer of the Year Award. The latter has attracted 18 nominations, including NetEnt, Playtech, Red Tiger, Yggdrasil, Pragmatic Play, iSoftBet, Endorphina, EGT Interactive, and last year’s winner, Relax Gaming.
