We recently watched the video released by the Betting and Gambling Council (BGC).
To cover the topic and the video's content, I wrote a news piece covering the main points.
The video highlights the following four points comparing two similar-looking online casino sites:
- One of these sites supports age verification
- One bans credit card deposits
- One has strict ID checks
- One has built-in player protections
It then states that black market casinos don't offer any of these four player protection tools, which I have disagreed with on some of these points in my BGC Black Market Casino Warning video news, available here - you can also watch the video via the news piece published.
Questions?
- What is your opinion?
- Do you agree with any of the points I made in the news story?
- What would you add to the video?
Great article, and I completely agree that it's propaganda or a scare tactic. Yes, lots of offshore sites and even those licensed by Curacao and Anjouan are dodgy as feck, but there are some that are trustworthy even if they dont offer the same protection for players. It's also correct that they've basically just done an advertisement of black market casinos. Those that didn't know about them now know that they can use credit cards, not have to do an ID check, etc, etc. I'd love to know how many people search up some BM casinos after watching that, as I bet its a lot.
