Has anyone has any extraordinary KYC check requests? Why is Casumo asking me to show my pay slip?

Sounds like a headache to me? Did you deposit a lot of money to the casino? What country are you in?
From the UK. We have affordability checks apparently. Just figured it out from the news on here. https://casinoplusbonus.com/en/uk-affordability-check-pilot-project-begins-2486/.

I think some casinos ask for proof of earning when you deposit a threshold. Mine is not in the UK it is Curacao. They asked me for proof of income. When I checked it is if you deposit more than 5,000 euros in 12 months.
I had some problems because I sent the statements from a different bank account I was using to fund my crypto wallet.
In the end the casino settled for payslips. Can't say I like giving them this information but I also have the same with eTorro for my trading. It is just the way the world goes around today.
@zealy In the UK, it will eventually reach the point where you need to disclose your blood type and take a DNA test.
I jest, but its getting stupid in the UK and has been for years.
They think they're fighting gambling addiction but making it worse by forcing players to play offshore instead.

@dabeeman I heard that guys in the UK cant play buy bonuses on slots. Is that true? That would suck hard!
@simonw That is indeed true. While the rest of the world gets NLC slots as they're intended, we get the watered down versions. Just another of many reasons ill consider moving abroad when I retire - though there's a long way to go until that daya haha!
@bighitter yeah I've definitely deposited more than 5 grand there this year so far. I don't usually like adding up my deposits as it's scary but after checking it's about 5,400. This is just one of several casinos I use, too 🙁
I did bite the bullet and send those payslips in the end - through gritted teeth though.

@zealy If you can afford it though, why not? Hobbies usually cost money, but at least with this one, we can profit from them too.
It does bring me to a new question, like a hypothetical one, seeing as we talking about friends.
I guess its off topic for the thread, but here goes anyway.
What advice would you give to someone new to gambling?
Maybe a friend or someone you knows says they want to try online casinos, poker, or sportsbooks and ask you about it. What would you say (apart from, oh sign up via my link lol)?
My advise is to make sure you play games with high RTPs. Don't be stupid and gamble all your money in one hit. Take your time. It took me ages to get used to online casinos. I made so many mistakes like trying to cheat bonuses but they got me every time.

Same. I made tons of mistakes when I first started playing. feeling much more confident now. Looking back I used to get angry with the support because I thought their rules were wrong. Looking forward and I now know the rules, I never slip up and I've not had any issues with a casino for a long while now.
You UK players will probably have to start sending in blood samples and complete DNA tests before you can play soon.
