The latest GGA EMEA awards winners’ list is out!

It is the first time the Global Gaming Awards EMEA event has been held outside of London. Due to ICE London moving locations, the Gaming Insider event coordinator moved the event to be near ICE Barcelona 2025.

The event itself took place at The Market Restaurant at Fira Barcelona Gran Via on 20 Jan 2025 after the ICE Barcelona Day 1 had concluded. There were live guests, and the event was also streamed live!

To decide the winners of this year’s GGA awards, the judges had the pick of 10 companies shortlisted across 16 categories. That’s 160 companies up for awards.

The format of each award meant three companies from the 10 shortlisted would gain recognition. The places were third, runner-up, and winner.

At the end of the event, the idea was to produce 16 x 3 winners = 48 brands mentioned as the top 3 in each award category. Of course, 16 of those are winners. However, we ended up with 49 brands as the Online Casino Supplier of the Year award’s third place was a tie between Spribe and Playtech.

Announcing the awards was hosted by Mariya Savova, who is the Global Gaming Awards Event Manager. The KPMG Global Gaming Team independently adjudicated and audited the event to ensure all judges voted and that the voting was fair and transparent.

As for announcing first, second, and third-place winners was Rick Arpin,  KPMG Lad Vegas office. He is the Office Managing Partner.

GGA EMEA 2025 Winners

Many of the winners in the list below we know well. We saw Pragmatic Play pick up an award, which, of course, is a brand hosted by almost all online casinos we review here on Casinoplusbonus. Popular land-based and online casino gaming developers were also on the awards lists – Light & Wonder, Aristocrat Gaming, EGT and Playtech. Games Global also picked up an award, and unsurprisingly so as the brand has a huge collection of online slots, plus three major progressive jackpot networks.

Plus, my number one land-based casino I visit every summer, The Hippodrome Casino, was also an award winner.

Another Well presented GGA Event

It was yet another exciting and well-executed Games Global EMEA event in 2025. The move to Barcelona did not disrupt the usual atmospheric mood the event creates. Also, with my experience of UK winters back in my uni days many moons ago, I am sure the mood was lifted further as the weather in Barcelona at this time of the year is far brighter than London.

If you would like to watch the live-streamed event, we have left the YouTube video for you to the right of this text (or below if you are reading this awards news via mobile).
