BC.Game Anjouan Gaming

There are strong signs that BC.Game will no longer operate under the Curacao iGaming licensing system with a new AGA certificate in place. (Courtesy of BC.Game)

An online casino I play at regularly has announced that it may quit the Curacao online gambling market.

I have also reviewed the platform because I am a long time member of over 5 years. You can read my BC Game review here.

As for the current situation with its bankruptcy declaration and the possibility of leaving Curacao’s iGaming licensing system, I’ve undertaken some research to get to the bottom of the matter.

Since 2017, the casino has been operating in Curacao under the C.I.L Curacao Interactive Licensing N.V. (#5536/JAZ) issued to the operator BlockDance B.V.

Although there is an opportunity to switch to the new Curacao Gaming Control (GCB) licensing framework, it looks almost certin that the operator will permanently switch to another licensing authority.

The announcement came this December 2024, suggesting BC.Game would no longer operate under the Curacao iGaming framework. Plus, there is further evidence of this from my research below.

BC.Game Switches to Anjouan Gaming Authroity (AGA)

I checked around and found BC.Game has switched to the Anjouan Gaming Authority (AGA) framework. In July 2024, a company based in Belize opened under the name Twocent Technology Limited.

I then checked the AGA website, and I found the BC.Game operator and website registered under the State of Anjouan under the Computer Gaming Licensing Act 007 of 2005. Under this operator, there are three brands listed.

Bckm.top, bcpoker.com, and bc.game, all of which operate under the AGA certificate to operate is number ALSI-202410011-FI1. As the renewal or expiry date for the platform’s new AGA licensing isn’t until October 1, 2025, the new Twocent Technology Limited licensing certification would have been awarded in October 2024.

You will find more information on the official Anjouan Gaming website, which lists BC.Game and the Twocent Technology Limited operator near the bottom of the page.

BC.Game Official Statement

In an official statement, BC.Game has said it is leaving Curacao due to its unfair bankruptcy laws. In case you are wondering how this affects you as a player, inefficient bankruptcy laws can render your online casino insolvent.

With that being said, Curacao is renewing these laws. Yet, not in time for BC.Game’s Blockdance BV and Small House BV operators, which the Curacao courts have declared bankrupt.

BC.Game stated that it would appeal this ruling. At the same time, a spokesperson for the online gambling entertainment firm stated that Curacao’s bankruptcy decree dates back to 1931—a clear stab at the country’s outdated bankruptcy legislation.

We recently saw a similar issue with Dama N.V., which the operator quickly appealed and reversed. You can read more about that fiasco via our Dama NV bankruptcy lifted news. We feel that possibly a similar situation may have occured with the BC.Game operators leading to the below statement.

Official BC.Game Statement: “We strongly disagree with the court’s recent rulings and will vigorously appeal the decision, as we believe it failed to adequately consider key facts. BC.GAME is confident in our ability to demonstrate compliance and uphold our reputation as a legitimate operator in the industry,” the BC.GAME management team stated in its PR Newswire ‘BC.GAME Issues Official Statement‘ press release.

What is Next?

Under the new Anjouan Gaming Authority, BC.Game will continue with business as usual. On the iGaming newwires, the company is saying that it is still in good financial standing. I have to say myself, I find it hard to believe a casino as big as BC.Game is going under.

Obviously, I don’t have access to their financial records, but we are talking about an online casino that has over 625,000 visitors per month according to the free Ahrefs traffic checker. Therefore, I am not worried about this outfit going under just yet.

For the time being, BC.Game just needs to let this glitch in its reputation tide over. Give it a few months into 2025 and all will be forgotten, just as it went away with the situation with Dama NV.
