Following another busy week in the iGaming industry, we have another bout of appointments made by companies looking to strengthen and enhance their positions in key markets.
The companies I will cover below are SOFTSWISS, MGM Resorts, Zeal, William Hill, and BMM Testlabs.
In fact, since doing these reports, August 2023 has been one of the busiest months. We have seen new appointments filled in senior positions across the gambling entertainment industry.
As you probably know, this is a fast-paced industry with ambitious companies looking to get a foot up in their ongoing battle with competitors.
These firms want only the best personnel to fill their senior management positions with the experience, knowledge, and drive to take their brands to the next level.

- William Hill & Eric Cantona: The French football (soccer) legend who played for France and Manchester United is now the face of William Hill’s (888 Holdings) football betting season.
- Planet Football & Robbie Savage: The Planet Football platform has the ex-Welsh international and former Blackburn Rovers football star as its brand ambassador for football betting.
- Copy Bet & Shay Given: Former Republic of Ireland and Premier League star Shay Given has become the betting firm’s latest brand ambassador.
SOFTSWISS Appoints New Regional Business Development Manager for the LatAm Region
SOFTSWISS, a prominent iGaming software provider, is strengthening its presence in the LatAm region by appointing Carla Dualib as the new Regional Business Development Manager. With a background in sports, innovation, and technology, Carla Dualib brings her extensive experience to the role. Her marketing, communication, and sales expertise qualifies her for the position, where she will focus on Brazil—a crucial market for SOFTSWISS in the region.
Carla’s responsibilities include identifying opportunities, enhancing the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform, and exploring new avenues for innovative products. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and General Manager for the Asian Pacific and African regions, Rossouw’s promotion recognizes her extensive 30-year career in the gambling industry and her significant role in managing BMM’s operations in the African gambling market. She provides crucial support and guidance to regulators and gambling businesses in the region.

ZEAL Appoints Stefan Harder as Vice President of New Business
In July, Stefan Harder became the Vice President of New Business at ZEAL, reporting directly to CEO Helmut Becker. His primary role involves strategically expanding and enhancing ZEAL’s in-house charity lottery, Deutsche Traumhauslotterie. Harder, an e-commerce specialist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of industry experience, brings valuable expertise. Before joining ZEAL, he founded and led the adventure gift company Jollydays. He also served as an independent startup consultant and interim manager in multiple companies before joining ZEAL.

- Rank Group: Has installed Mark Harper as the Managing Director of Grosvenor Casinos effective August 14.
- Wynn Resorts: Has brought Paul Liu onto the Board of Directors.
