MGM Resorts International’s branch, LeoVegas, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in gaming developer Push Gaming Holding Limited.
The deal also includes the Push Gaming subsidiaries and the founding management team’s ongoing operational commitment.
It’s a move that now puts LeoVegas on the map as a software provider joining other casino platforms like SOFTSWISS (BGaming) and 888 Holdings (888 Gaming).
Push Gaming is renowned for its highly engaging digital games and boasts a portfolio of over 30 games offered to 200+ operators worldwide. It is so well renowned that the company is on four shortlists for EGR B2B Awards 2023 (1) Supplier of the Year (2) Innovation in Mobile (2) Innovation in Slot Provision, and (4) Mobile Supplier.
This marks LeoVegas’s first major investment since joining MGM Resorts, enhancing its content production abilities, and furthering its growth plans.
Top titles such as Jammin’ Jars and Jammin’ Jars 2 are some of the games that are now officially part of LeoVegas. Plus, let’s not forget Dino P.D., Dinopolis, Big Bamboo, Deadly 5, Wild Swarm, Mayster Mission to the Moon, Fat Rabbit, Razor Shark, and Giga Jar Cluster Link. And that’s just a few examples from a library of over 50 game titles.
LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman also shared his excitement about welcoming Push Gaming to the extended family, lauding its transformation from a small start-up to a successful company with outstanding proprietary content and a robust customer base.
What this means for Push Gaming’s Brand Name
Even before this deal, the software provider’s games have long been available on UKGC, AGCO, and MGA versions of LeoVegas. Therefore, the deal doesn’t bring Push Gaming titles to LeoVegas as the supply partnership between the two was already in place.
The same management team will continue operating Push Gaming, which will develop top-notch games with its 100+ workforce. In other words, business as usual under the same brand name. There is no mention of rebranding the name from Push Gaming, which in my opinion is the best move as players already identify with the current branding.
And if you are looking for an example of a company that has purchased other software providers and kept the brand name with success, look no further than Evolution Gaming. The company owns NetEnt, Big Time Gaming (the patent of Megaways), NoLimit City, and Red Tiger Gaming.
For LeoVegas, this is the perfect opportunity to get into the game development side of iGaming, while for Push Gaming, being linked with LeoVegas and MGM, well, that’s basically associating your brand name with two of the biggest names in the gambling entertainment business.
Gary Fritz, MGM Resorts International Interactive’s President, said that the acquisition of Push Gaming is in line with MGM Resorts’ goal to broaden its digital gaming presence internationally.

BetMGM Debuts Exclusive Buffalo Wild Wings Slot
