The tension levels are rising in the iGaming industry, as the Global Gaming Awards 2022 London, sponsored this year by Bragg Gaming, is edging ever closer. The winner for the Executive of the Year award has been shortened down, and we finally know which lucky nominees have made the final shortlist, with some big names nominated such as 888 Holdings, Playtech, and Evolution.
The Global Gaming Awards are the most prestigious of all iGaming awards, and to win one of these would be the long-term ambition of many game providers, and staff. The voting process is intense and takes place in the Crown Dependencies by KPMG adjudicators. Every company that makes a shortlist will be publicly announced, and in which category. According to Gambling Insiders’ Editor-in-Chief, Julian Perry, the voting this year has been especially difficult because there are so many companies and individuals that have not only pushed themselves forward but are driving the entire industry forward in the process. The fact that this year there are 25 nominees instead of 10, is a testament to the level that the industry has got to.
The final shortlist for all categories is due to be released over the next month or so, with the winners of the awards being revealed in April.
