On Wednesday evening, the IGA 2021 results were announced, and are now officially published on the IGA Awards website.
The International Gaming Awards took place in the UK capital held at the plush Savoy Hotel. London’s WC2 district is one of the most prestigious areas in the city and a fitting location to play host to the world’s top iGaming and sport betting brands. The event is put on in recognition of the efforts of global brands across all continents and we saw plenty of big names across 30 categories that cover multiple industry sectors such as ‘Land Based’, ‘Online’, ‘Supplier’, ‘Manufacturer’, ‘Online Operator’, ‘Operator’. ‘Provider’, ‘Manufacturer’, ‘Land-Based Operator or Supplier’, ‘Worldwide’, and ‘All Regions’.
It was a formal ‘Black Tie’ event and the entire event went on from 18:30 – 01:00 with dinner, awards, and entertainment, all included. It was a spectacular evening/night and one to remember, even for those that just missed out on an award.
Yggdrasil Deservedly Reels in ‘Slot Provider of the Year’ Award
In the iGaming sector, which we were most focused on, the impressive Yggdrasil software provider won the ‘Slot Provider of the Year’ award, and to be honest, we were not surprised.
The brand has consistently released some of the best video slot titles our team has the pleasure of reviewing at a rate of almost 1 per week. Its slot mechanics come with ‘Gigablox’, ‘MultiMAX’, ‘Splitz’, ‘GigaRise’, and ‘DoubeMax’ features that come with payouts from ‘Pay Lines’, ‘Ways to Win’, ‘Clusters’, and ‘Infinity Reels’ making its titles some of the most diverse in the industry.
On top of this, top slot developer studios use the ‘Yggdrasil Gaming Platform’ to release their titles. At this time, that list extends across 4ThePlayer, Avatar UX, Bang Bang, Bulletproof, Dreamtech, GameVY, Jade Rabbit, Northern Lights, Peter and Sons, Rabcat, Reel Life Gaming, Reel Play, Reflex Gaming, and True Lab.
Furthermore, the brand is not shy in the slightest, and we don’t mean getting their name out there by using promos and advertising, which Yggdrasil marketing already executes perfectly across social media and other platforms. It is also in the limelight thanks to a 10-episode What’s Up YGG podcast series. The podcast brings transparency through the iGaming market and targets players, aggregators, even competitors, as well as anyone else that wants to get the latest news on the current state of the iGaming industry.
Yggdrasil News: Every week a new video slot hits the iGaming circuit via the ‘Yggdrasil Gaming Platform’ whether it is a Yggdrasil Gaming slot or a release from one of the partner video slot development studios mentioned above. And we are always here to deliver either a full review on the Casinoplusbonus.com games news channel or via our Sunday report in a mini-review of the slot.
Microgaming, Pragmatic Play, and SoftSwiss Notable Brands to Walk Away Quids In!
Pardon the expression ‘quids in’, but we thought it was a suitable quip because the event was held in London’s oi oi saveloy – Savoy Hotel. For those of you that don’t know this, ‘Quids’ is the British nickname for the local currency – Great British Pounds a.k.a., Sterling. And oi oi Savaloy means – watch out hello. So, enough of the English slang lessons and on to more serious news. And we are going to begin with the SoftSwiss award for ‘Best Customer Service Company of the Year’.
- SoftSwiss: The brand was in fact nominated for 4 IGA Awards in this event, and it came out trumps thanks to its dominant customer services. Austrian born SoftSwiss is a casino aggregator at the top of its game offering both sports betting and online casino white label aggregator platforms with options for an MGA, Curacao, SGA, Greece, Nigeria, and many other regions. It is also one of the leading cryptocurrency aggregator platforms.
- Pragmatic Play (RNG Casino Supplier of the Year): As an overall RNG casino supplier, Pragmatic Play needs to introduction if you are already a regular casino player. This is a brand the continuously releases video slots, bingo titles, and the occasional table game into the RNG market. Like Yggdrasil above, we regularly focus on reviewing Pragmatic’s slot titles because its games are exciting, innovative, graphically astounding with state-of-the-art animations, and the games always come with an easy to read paytable jam-packed with feature explanations.
- Microgaming (Innovator of the Year – Supplier): At last, one of our favourite software providers lands an award. Microgaming is a pivotal force in iGaming thanks to its huge progressive jackpot network, which now boasts over €45 billion in jackpot payouts. It has also brought together multiple developer studios, helping to expand the video slots market with fresh software providers – one of those being Just For Win.
- Just for the Win (Rising Star of the Year): Just for the Win is flourishing under the Microgaming brand. It is a rising star because of its excellent slot releases bringing something new to the market. Most notably via Microgaming, Just For The Win produced Juicy Joker Mega Moolah and the Sherlock & Moriarty WowPot. The WowPot on this slot has already paid out €2,025,388.75 to a lucky winner.
Other notable winners were the US Gaming Company of the Year – Pilot Games. In a newborn market, there are still plenty of competitors such as Flutter, Entain, and Kindred – the latter won the Sports Betting Operator of the Year. Check out all the winners of all 30 categories below.
