As Playtech wrap up the 1st month of Q2 the company has had a busy week with several news reports surrounding the UK based iGaming and Sports platform supplier that will excite both investors and players!
One of the growing sector on the Playtech iGaming platform is its bingo platform where currently its online portfolio is one of the leading brands in the online bingo sphere even in the face of stiff competition from software providers such as Drongonfish, Pragmatic Play, and Jumpman Gaming. And to further cement its position in the market, Playtech is continuing to release new themed Bingo variants with imaginative features in what is becoming a real money gaming market remarkably similar to online slots with its latest addition offering players a progressive jackpot!
Meanwhile, Playtech is also offloading its Finalto financial trading division in a deal that will fetch £148 million which is not to be sneezed at. It’s a deal that will not affect the iGaming division as the Finalto business purely deals with the investment of Playtech’s huge billion Sterling revenue!
Speaking of revenue, although no official figures are out on the Playtech has offset poor retail performance with increased revenues in its online gaming sector for the first 4 months of 2021 which runs in line with the firm’s end-of-year 2020 results which reported a 58% growth from combined online sports and iGaming ventures.
As we await the final results of Q1 2021, we also predict Q2 2021 to show marked improvement as the pandemic crisis that severely affected the firms B2B retail division with nearly a 25% decline last year makes a U-turn and claws back some of that lost income!
