The 2022 EGR Nordics produced yet another outstanding iGaming awards ceremony. And it is an event the Yggdrasil Gaming team will not forget in a hurry as the popular video slots developer took down yet another industry acclamation–the EGR Nordics 2022 Casino Software Provider of the year.
Yggdrasil Gaming is no stranger to winning after it picked up the 2021 IGA ‘Slot Provider of the year’ award in 2021. It has also won the EGR B2B Awards ‘Slot Provider of the Year’ twice–2017 and 2016. Another accolade the brand has firmly tightened its grasp over multiple times is the IGA ‘Innovator of the year’ honours, taking this down in 2020, 2019, and 2018. Plus, it holds the title of ‘Innovator in RNG Casino Supplier’ from the EGR B2B 2019 ceremony. And the list of industry recognition continues going as far back as Yggdrasil’s first major iGaming community recognition in 2015 when it won the ‘Software Rising Star’ at the EGR B2B awards ceremony–amazingly, this was when the brand was just starting out!
Joining Yggdrasil in its awards celebration were long-term partners Mr Green Casino, operated by Mr Green Limited, which picked up the EGR Nordics 2022 Safer Gambling Operator award, and William Hill International, winning the ‘Casino Operator’ of the year. When William Hill collected its prize, its recent acquisition (Mr Green Casino) was highlighted thanks to its high quality, safe, customer-centric, and innovative casino platform.
William Hill International iGaming and sports betting rival Bettson was also at the event and made a clean sweep for multiple categories. It picked up the ‘Marketing Campaign’, ‘Affiliate Program’, ‘Customer Service Operator’, ‘Operator’, and ‘Sport Betting Operator’ of the year. An extremely impressive feat, as it is one of the first brands to pick up 5 awards in a single EGR event under the same brand name.
Another winner at the coveted yearly iGaming event was none other than Greentube. It pulled in the ‘Casino Content Supplier’ of the year award; a category Yggdrasil was also competing for along with other top software developer brands such as Betsoft, Playtech, iSoftbet, Evolution Group, Push Gaming, Wazdan, Slotmill, Inspired Gaming, EGT Interactive, and AvatarX–the latter, AvatarX is a brand that uses the Yggdrasil software platform.
Where was the EGR 2022 Awards Event Held? This year the event was held at The Westin Dragonara Resort – St. Julian’s, Malta on the east coast of the Mediterranean island. The event itself consisted of 4 sections split between ‘Operator’, ‘Supplier’, ‘Affiliate’ and ‘General’ categories. Under each of these sections were multiple awards.
Yggdrasil Continues to Push its ways to the Top of the iGaming Market
After a successful 2021, Yggdrasil Gaming kick starts 2022 by adding the prestigious EGR Nordics 2022 Casino Software Provider of the year to its growing list of accolades. It saw off other nominees in its catergory, which included an impressive list of competition:
- Aspire Global
- Finnplay
- Playtech
- Quickspin
- Sigma Software Group
- Sportingtech
Over the course of 2022, the brand is not planning on stopping here. After beating the staunch competition, like Playtech and Quickspin, Yggdrasil is fully expected to pick up several more awards with SBC, EGR, IGA, and more awards ceremonies still to come. At the same time, picking up yet another award is an example of the slot developer and iGaming platform provider’s solid market penetration. That was clearly mentioned in the EGR Awards decision to honour Yggdrasil with this year’s Casino Software Provider of the year award.
The EGR judges said that Yggdrasil’s team has an impressive approach to problem-solving–in particular, it has successfully approached and solved scalability as well as integration issues within iGaming. On top of this, the software provider addresses its user needs–this refers to the B2B operations via its GATI (Game Adoption Tools & Interface) system which integrates other brands into its state-of-the-art game delivery and casino platform delivery system.
Currently, casino platforms can plug into Yggdrasil’s platform and not only benefit from the full list of Yggdrasil game titles but also games from partner developers. This list includes the likes of AvatarX as mentioned, and 4ThePlayer, Bulletproof, G-Games, Gamevy, Jade Rabbit, Northern Lights, Peter & Sons, Rabcat, Reflex Gaming, and more.
