Happy Monday folks. We enter another new week and that means once again I get to share with you all the new casino games that launched over the 7 days.

Altogether we caught wind of 26 of them making their debuts at online casinos. And although it’s not as many as we have seen in recent reports, it is still a healthy number of new titles for you to enjoy

Also, this time around, the new casino games covered here were purely online and mobile slots. No live casino or table games released this time around.

Top 5 Video Slot Releases—Week 41 New Casino Games (October 2022)

Okay, so the team has gone through and tested each of the new slots released last week (we do some proper work too, honest!) and there were some cracking titles. However, the goal was to establish the new games we thought were deserving of a spot in our top 5. We played, discussed, and argued (sometimes violently) but ultimately agreed on the following.

• John Hunter and the Book of Tut Respin (Pragmatic Play)

Not only is another John Hunter video slot added to the ever-growing series, but we also have a sequel to one of the slot titles already released in the collection. John Hunter and the Book of Tut is now in its second version with this brand-new John Hunter and the Book of Tut Respin video slot title. (You can see our full review here).

The same 5×3 reel mechanical, 10 pay lines and 96.5% theoretical RTP are in place, with the famous book dictating the action once again—so far both versions of this title match. However, there are a couple of added extras to the gameplay.

A newly added respin feature caused by a mystery symbol is available in both the base game and the free spins bonus.

During the base game, it will trigger at random to give you respins. For free spins, the slot selects the mystery symbol before the round begins so it is available any time it lands in view on the reels. A respin will occur and any combination wins payout. Next, if the mystery symbol landed on the respin, it will expand, and any additional wins added to your spin bet winnings gives you another respin. The feature only stops when no more mystery symbols hit the reels.
Just to make life easier, the mystery symbol will pay anywhere, so it does not need pay lines, and it does not need to show up on adjacent reels.

Of course, the most noteworthy feature of the slot is ‘the book’. It is the John Hunter and the Book of Tut Respin scatter symbol, which pays a spin bet multiplier and triggers free spins. When you land 3, 4 or 5 scatter anywhere on the reels, it pays 2x, 20x or 200x your spin bet before kick-starting 10 free spins. It is also a re-trigger giving you another 10 free spins if 3+ land on the reels during the free spin bonus game.

There is just one caveat to the mystery symbol and respins feature. The regular symbol combination payouts are between three and five times lower than in the original. For example, John Hunter would fetch you a 500x spin bet multiplier on ‘Book of Tut’, but on ‘Book of Tut Respin’ he pays 100x. The only symbol that retained its payout value is the scatter.

• Spinions Game Day (Quickspin)

We have another slot coming from a popular series in our top 5 this week! We just gave you your fill of John Hunter, and now it’s time for the Spinions who are also back in action on the Spinions Game Day new release from the Quickspin software provider, which fans of the characters and football will absolutely love. In fact, you don’t even need to be a fan of football to enjoy this bubbly and upbeat theme because of full action!

Much like the famous Minions, the Spinions are an eccentric bunch who love to party on the reels. The first time we saw them was when they were partying on the beach in the original 2016 release – Spinions Beach Party. They then made a return in the build-up to the festive period on the Spinions Christmas Party video slot released at the end of last year.

Now the energetic bunch are back on the reels playing some of their favourite sports on 5×3 reels with 10 lines. If you land a scatter on reel 5 during free spins, you receive 5 additional free spins.

During free spins, if 2+ wilds appear on the reels, a respins feature triggers. This does not use any of your free spins. The wilds will become sticky for the duration of respins and any new wilds will also remain sticky. Also, when new wilds land, this will trigger another respin. To make this feature even more interesting, it comes with a ‘Passing Wilds’ feature. A football will start on one of the wilds and after each respin it will pass to another wild. Each time the wild catches a ball, its multiplier will increase by +1.

You will find this slot title in MGA and UKGC-licensed casinos with a theoretical RTP of 96%. While other casinos operating under other licenses have an RTP of 87% or 94%. Also, the default bet on this slot starts at USD-EUR-CAD-NZD 1.00. If that’s too rich of a per-spin bet for you, be sure to reduce it before you start playing. I say this because many a time I also forget!

• Dio – Killing the Dragon (Play’n GO)

Dio – Killing the Dragon starts off with an entertaining intro with sounds from the famous American heavy metal band – Dio. It is yet another video slot joining the Play’n Go collection of slots themed around pop stars, heavy metal and thrash metal brands. • Champion of the Underworld GigaBlox™ feat. Wild Fight™ (Yggdrasil)

For the purpose of this review, let’s just call this slot Champion of the Underworld, as the full name as you see above is quite the mouthful. Long-winded title aside, this is an epic new title that takes place on a 6×4 grid format that offers 4,,096 ways-to-win. Apart from a monstrous theme, this new slot from Yggdrasil stands out due to its bonus features. There are a lot of them and to sum up, you can look forward to Gigablox symbols on every spin, the Wild Fight™ feature, free spins with an increasing multiplier, a free spins gamble mode, and a buy bonus option.

Red Tiger Gaming is a brand I really admire and have done for a long time. It was clear from day one that it was a developer to keep an eye on. Almost any new release from this supplier is a good one, and that includes the firm’s latest release, Great Gold. It offers a 5×3 reel format, 10-fixed paylines, a medium variance, and an RTP of 95.66%.

Themed on all things elegant, this video slot is what you might call a classic slot but with a few modern features thrown in. The symbols are your typical fruits such as cherries, plums and oranges and while you will not find many bonus features, you do have free spins, sticky wilds, and a random wild activator feature to look forward to.

The Wild Activator symbol is always welcome when it randomly triggers on any spin. When it does, it starts raining wilds which can result in 4 to 8 wild symbols landing in positions on the reels.
