We have a round-up of top iGaming headlines in store for you. And of course, judging by the title, you have probably already guessed, we like to thing we deliver the best iGaming gossip online in bite-sized all-in-one new coverage!

In this iGaming news special, you can get all the juicy details from the new Greentube majority shareholder stake in a top-rated iGaming IT solutions firm. Also, partnership news from BetSoft and Pragmatic Play as both brand increase exposure across the globe.

Perhaps the most interesting iGaming gossip of the week is Greentube’s possible live casino or land-based gaming to online casino solution on the horizon. Subsequent to confirming the launch of the innovative Greentube Mynt remote gaming system just last week and also announcing its new AGCO licensing in Canada’s Ontario iGaming market, the Novomatic-owned developer has now become the majority shareholder of Alteatec.

After a quiet 2022 in the iGaming headlines, suddenly the Greentube (Novomatic) software provider, famous for the Book of Ra video slots collection, is in the news for the third time this month. We are only 20 days in! This could be a significant sign of things to come from the esteemed online casino software provider – especially seeing as there is a hint that Greentube may venture into the live dealer game space – read the story in more detail below.

Today’s News Highlight: Speculation emerges from the most recent Greentube (Novomatic) software provider news report that the company could now have the capabilities to enter the live casino space – read more below!

Greentube Alteatec Majority Shareholder Acquisition May Lead to Live Casino!

Alteatec IT Solutions Limited has been in business in Malta since 2008 under company number C 44099. However, it began its journey in Austria in 2001 and after its Maltese venture, it has now gone full circle as Greentube Austria has become the majority shareholder.

But why Alteatec? The now Maltese-based entity’s main services include platform and management system solutions for the iGaming sector. Greentube is looking to harness the company’s flagship product – the Olympus One system. In particular, the Olympus One multi-core management system and Safe Server solutions. Within these systems are the Bonus Engine, gamification tools and Duel Tournament capabilities.

There’s more too! Could Greentube enter the live dealer casino space? The report pretty much confirms that it will. The Alteatec Olympus One system has been designed to connect online casinos to land-based arcade gambling venues as well as casinos using a solution called the Landbased Connection and Partner module. In particular, the news report on the Greentube website says that it can now offer a 360-degree solution for offline and online gambling – could this lead to the live casino niche?

The idea is to combine the Novo Unity with the land-based tech to gain online access to Novomatic’s current offline portfolio. Now with that in mind, and with an ever growing live casino niche, this could be the perfect time for Greentube (the Digital Gaming and Entertainment division of Novomatic) and Novomatic itself to combine to bring offline games online and vice versa. But this is purely speculation on my part for the time being.

Now the acquisition is official, Greentube’s Thomas Graf (CEO) and Georg Gubo (COO) are now appointed as the new Alteatec managing directors joining the existing managing director Christian Sael.

Thomas Graf, CEO at Greentube, said: “I am delighted to start 2023 in such momentous fashion. Alteatec is a market leader in iGaming technology.” See the full Greentube news story here.

Pragmatic Play Drums Up More LatAm Business

The multi-award-winning software provider Pragmatic Play has announced its third Latam partnership deal of the year after forming a new alliance with Nekobet. This follows on from two initial deals forming B2B supply agreements with Pentagol (Peru) and Betbastet (Brazil). It is the fifty-third supply deal the software provider has made in the region since the beginning of 2022.

Nekobet operates in multiple South American countries. The current deal in place is for video slots only, and I am sure there’s room for expansion into virtual sports, bingo and/or live casino in the future.

BetSoft Announces First iGaming B2B Supply Deal of the Year

Another top software provider now looking to break further into the Latam iGaming market is BetSoft. The developer already has a huge list of global partners as it is one of the longest-running software providers coming online in 2006. The latest partnership agreement is with Cbet, which we have not seen any other software providers deal with. It is a sports book and casino platform that operates across Mexico and Brazil. By the way, that’s the two largest populations and economies in the Latam region, so what a deal!

Anastasia Bauer, Head of Account Management, Betsoft Gaming, said: ‘Betsoft is a recognised brand across Latin American markets and it is important for us to continue this growth trajectory”.
