iGaming Giant Oryx Gaming Reflects on 2021

Oryx Gaming reflects on 2021, a year that brought industry awards, new casino content, UKGC licensing, and a whole heap more! (Image from oryxgaming.com)

As is always the case at the start of a new year, many iGaming brands, such as Evoplay, Quik Gaming, and SoftSwiss, have reflected on their performances during 2021 and highlighted milestones reached, achievements made, and highlights. Although late to the party, Oryx Gaming is the latest to look back on a year that delivered so much for the firm.

Oryx Gaming has labelled 2021 as a ‘phenomenal’ year, and it is difficult to argue when you consider the growth the company enjoyed throughout the year.

In short, the iGaming solution was listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange, gained a license from the UK Gambling Commission, entered four new regulated markets, earned nominations for and won industry awards, and of course, developed some fantastic new casino content!

Published yesterday, Oryx Gaming delivered a detailed report on what the company achieved in 2021. While you can head over there and read for yourself, I will summarise it all in this short news piece.

Oryx Expanded into New Markets

Throughout 2021, Oryx Gaming gained licenses or compliance to operate in the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Greece. The company also strengthened its position in the US through the acquisition of Spin Games and Wild Streak Gaming, both Nevada-based casino content developers. Oryx Gaming already operates in 15 European countries, including Germany, Sweden, Romania, Portugal, and Denmark. The license issued by the UKGC came in November, so the icing on a very impressive 2021 cake. As the most regulated gambling market in the world, getting a license to operate in the UK is neither easy nor cheap.

Oryx Developed Some Excellent New Casino Games

Throughout 2021, Oryx developed five new titles of its own, including Super Sevens, King & Jewels, and Fruit Lines, while its partnering developers such as Gamomat and Golden Hero released over 40 more via the Oryx RGS platform. Oryx was also able to add a further 2,000 casino games from many third-party developers to its casino aggregation platform, the Oryx Hub! The company itself is not the most prolific in terms of developing games, but it has no need when it can rely on its partnering firms and aggregation platform.

The Bragg Gaming Group was Listed on NASDAQ and Won Industry Awards!

In August, Bragg Gaming Group, the parent company of Oryx Gaming, began trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange. This was arguably one of the biggest milestones for the group in 2021. If you’re into stocks and shares, this might be one to follow!

Finally, Oryx Gaming earned recognition for its products and services from major industry award ceremonies. The company was nominated for the Rising Star in Sports Betting & Casino (Supplier Awards) and the Rising Star in Casino (Operator Awards) at the 2021 SBC Awards and while it did not win; it won the Great Place to Work Award at the 2021 International Gaming Awards (IGA). Those nominations have continued into 2022 too. Oryx Gaming has already earned a nomination for the Casino Product of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards, and the iGaming Software Supplier and Technology Provider/Supplier awards at the 2022 IGA Awards.
