According to announcements from Flutter Entertainment, it has been confirmed that Matt King, FanDuel CEO has notified the firm that he wants to leave the group. Matt has agreed to stay with the firm till a successor is chosen for the CEO post which will become vacant after he leaves.

King has served as FanDuel CEO for four years with his reign recording tremendous success for the firm. According to a statement from Flutter Entertainment, One of King’s achievements was overseeing the transition of FanDuel to the market leader in the United States online gaming and sports betting from being an online operator of daily fantasy sports.

While speaking on the development, Peter Jackson, the CEO of Flutter Entertainment extended appreciation to Matt King on behalf of the company, thanking him for his immense contribution in elevating FanDuel to a leader in the US market. Jackson continued by pointing out King’s achievement during his time as the CEO especially in the 3 years since PASPA was canceled. He further noted that FanDuel has achieved a lot in those times all thanks to King’s leadership as well as his strong team members,

Jackson expressed delight in the work King has done so far in FanDuel and added that the company will be sorry to see King leave, although he is leaving the business in great shape and with a strong legacy.

Currently, the board of FanDuel is assessing the potential benefits of listing a little stake in FanDuel in the United States; however, the option is still under review despite King’s impending departure from the firm.
