IGT (International Game Technology) has announced that its Executive Vice president of strategic initiatives and new business, Walter Bugno has resigned. According to the statement from  International Game Technology, Bugno resigned so that he can pursue another professional opportunity but he will still be in office till May 14 doing his job at the International Game Technology.

With the departure of Walter Bugno, the International Game Technology will now divide its new business responsibilities among the Global Gaming and Global Lottery business units. The statement further explained that the IGT Strategy and Corporate Development unit will now take on the responsibilities for strategic initiatives.

About Walter Bugno

Before becoming the executive vice president of strategic initiatives and new business at the International Game Technology, Bugno was the Chief Executive Officer  in the same firm where he was in control of the strategic development and management of the firm’s International region. Bugno led the International Game Technology’s interactive, gaming, and lottery business across the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East among others.

While speaking on the resignation, Marca Sala, CEO of International Game Technology showed his appreciation to Mr. Bugno for his accomplishments in IGT over ten years in a senior leadership position in the company. Sala added that Bugno has made meaningful contributions to IGT’s strength of global leadership through his efforts.

Sala ended on a high note with praises for Bugno especially for the various times he has successfully engaged teams throughout several regions, championed innovation, fostered continued talent development, and built important customer relationships for the International Game Technology. Finally, Sala bade Bugno goodbye on behalf of all the people in IGT and wished him well in feature endeavors.
