In Canada, the new Ontario iGaming market opened on 4 April last year and is already beating back the doubters. The signs of success are clear thanks to yet another reputable software provider announcing its entrance into the province’s iGaming scene.
A recent report published by the Novomatic Digital Gaming and Entertainment division confirmed Greentube slots hit Canada’s Ontario iGaming this year after the iGaming developer itself announced it has picked up an Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) licence, covered in the Canadian online casino guide. The company initially needed to register with iGaming Ontario (iGO) before new licensing to supply online casinos in the provincial gambling zone gained approval.
With its iGO and AGCO certification in place, Greentube made a deal through UK online gambling giant Entain Gaming Group. The same group operates sports betting and iGaming services across the globe. It has a strong presence in the UK and Entain is also in full force in the Aussie sports betting market.
Novomatic is also a strong brand name and Austria’s second most valuable company trailing only to the energy drinks giant Red Bull, who you have almost certainly heard of.
Recent iGaming Expansions: Greentube’s venture into regulated Canadian gambling markets was in 2021 after gaining a licence via the BCLC (British Columbia Lottery Corporation).
Greentube Video Slots Portfolio – Book of Ra
With the first deal in Canada’s Ontario iGaming market coming via Entain, Greentube slots should appear on top online casino brands supplied by Entain. This includes PartyCasino, BetMGM, and Bwin.
Each one will now have the chance to host Greentube’s famous collection of Book of Ra video slots. In fact, Book of Ra was the original game to make it into the popular book + adventure-themed online slot culture, which is still going strong today. The theme’s main competitor is Book of Dead by Play’n GO, while new players are coming onto the scene including the new adventure + book-themed slots from Pragmatic Play – John Hunter.

Greentube Buys 40% Stake in North American iGaming Developer
In a surprise announcement, Greentube has taken over 40% of a popular North American iGaming company. – Flamingocatz. The new partnership has sparked off a plan to create brand new content for iGaming markets in North American markets.
In the North American region, Greentube has B2B supplier licensing in Michigan, Ontario and British Columbia. The aim is to target US and Canadian iGaming markets. On top of this, Greentube already has a US-based development studio after acquiring Present Creative.
Michael Bauer commented saying the software provider is committed to enhancing its presence in the continent, and the joint venture with Flamingocatz is a great way to strengthen the brand’s capabilities in the region. The idea is to focus on local markets, which Greentube’s CFO/CGO specifically pointed out as growth targets in Canada and the US.
