Play’n Go has announced the release of its brand new GEMiX 2 video slot with cluster wins!
This is the sequel to the amazing GEMiX title that shook the iGaming scene back in October 2018. The original’s popular and unique gameplay uses clusters for symbol wins formed on a 7×7 grid and a cascading-style feature that bursts winning symbols off the reels to replace them with new ones thus giving players the chance to win twice from a single go.
GEMiX 2 brings the same 7×7 grid, cluster pays system, and cascading-style feature to the sequel but this time it comes with a wave of new features and a slightly better RTP. GEMiX is a medium variant slot with a 96% RTP while GEMiX 2 has a slightly improved 96.2% RTP but this time it boasts high variance gameplay. Players will still need to spin in clusters of at least 5 symbols to create a winning combination, but with all the extra features, the base game payouts are eclipsed thanks to new features.
GEMiX Worlds! For all those that have played GEMiX, the world progression levels are still part of the game giving you the chance to play in the Sky Knight’s, Miner’s, Princess, and if you play for long enough, the Wizard’s world! For those of you not familiar with Play’n Go’s GEMiX, when you fill in patterns on the reels, the slot’s gameplay levels up giving you a new world with bigger bonuses and a new guardian. - Miner’s World: In the Miner’s World the dwarf miner will appear at random to open up the sky. When this happens anything up to 10 wild symbols can drop onto the reels.
- Princess’ World: One of the symbols on the edge of the reels is chosen randomly, and converts itself into a wild symbol. It then begins to spread to adjacent symbols in random directions until it reaches another edge symbol.
- Wizard’s World: The Wizard will graciously add up to 5 sticky wild symbols onto the 7×7 grid. Now with the above 3 wilds, if their addition helps to create a winning cluster, the wild will disappear off the reels with the other symbols, and replacement symbols come in. However, if the sticky wilds create cluster wins, the wild remains on the reels for the new burst of symbols. What’s more, is the sticky wilds will also remain on the grid for the next spin!
How Do Clusters Work? On GEMiX 2 you need at least 5 symbols on positions to form a win. These symbols can form any shape and the clusters can form anywhere on the reels. Clusters pays do not use the ‘adjacent reel’ feature as with no pay line slots like 243-ways-to-win and Megaways, and instead use ‘adjacent positions’ making it easier to link up combination wins!

Features on the New GEMiX 2 Online Video Slot Release

Individual Crystal Charges Explained
- Chain Lightning: At random 2 symbols in the corners of the 7×7 grid will create an electrical arc. This will hit other symbols which are then transformed into the same symbol as the corner ones
- Light Beam: A ray of light randomly triggers and shoots across the grid in horizontal and vertical directions. Any symbol the ray hot will transform which will create new cluster wins
- Crystal Warp: One of the symbols is chosen at random. Any other alike symbols on the grid will then warp onto adjacent positions to that symbol thus giving you a guaranteed cluster win
- Nova Blast: A symbol is selected randomly to explode off the grid along with all symbols adjacent to it. All spaces remaining fill up with the same symbol guaranteeing a winning cluster symbol formation
