We’re not even a quarter of the way through 2023, but it already feels like we have had so much to report on in terms of iGaming awards, exhibitions, and events.

We have already seen Quickspin (Slot Provider of the Year) scoop an award alongside 32 other winners at the 2023 IGA Awards and Pragmatic Play (Online Slot of the Year for Sugar Rush) do similar among 15 other winners at the 2023 Global Gaming Awards. On top of that, we have had ICE London 2023 and the EGR Nordics 2023 Awards.

Well, now we have the results of yet another awards ceremony. In fact, this is the first time we have covered the EKC Awards, an event that focuses on what casino members love the best, casino games.

It is actually a fresh change to see an award ceremony that purely focuses on the entertainment side of what the iGaming industry provides. That is not to say that operators, payment methods, affiliates, aggregation platforms, and all the rest, do not deserve awards. Quite the contrary, in fact. It is just that this is ideal for fans of casino games to quickly see which are the best video slots, table games, live casino games, and other casino games that have walked away with awards.

There are 25 awards in total split across land-based casino gaming, iGaming, and social gaming. In the following sections, we have listed the winners of each of those prestigious awards.

Evolution, the Bragg Gaming Group, and Reel Play Scoop 2023 iGaming EKC Awards

It is the iGaming category that interests us the most, as obviously, that is what we and our readers enjoy the most. There were six categories that celebrated the best slots, table games, live casino games, and other categories, including the Best Overall Supplier of Online Content. Evolution won the latter, the iGaming live casino giant that also has slot brands such as Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, NoLimit City, and Red Tiger Gaming operating under its umbrella.

Evolution also claimed the 2023 Top Performing Online Live Casino Game of the Year for its standard Live Dealer Blackjack title. That might surprise some that would have expected one of the more modern live gameshows to scoop that title. It just goes to show that classic table games still pull in plenty of players. It was fairly nailed on that Evolution would win this category. The firm was also nominated for its live Roulette, Craps, and Texas Hold’em titles while the only competition came from the Blackjack Unlimited live dealer game from Playtech Live.

As for slots, it was the 10,000 Wonders 10k Ways video slot from Reel Play that was announced as the 2023 Top Performing NEW Online Slot of the Year. That title came out on top of a competitive category that had another 10 slots on the shortlist from developers, including Light & Wonder, IGT, Greentube, and Inspired.
